At Community Moors we provide a sporting opportunity that allows young people with a learning disability spend time in an environment that is comfortable, safe and secure.
This enables them to be stretched, challenged and take risks. In addition, they receive football coaching that gives anybody with a learning or physical disability the same chance to play football and belong to a club as anybody in mainstream football. The provision is helping young people increase their independence and self-esteem. It also gives parents and carers a rest, while giving them peace of mind that their young person is safe and happy.
We now also have five teams (U13's, U16's, two Adult teams and CP teams) entered into the Birmingham Ability Counts League.
We have recently started a frame football provision that has been adapted for those using a walker, crutches or restricted mobility. The session is designed to cater for all and provide a safe environment in which players can play on a regular basis.
