Club announce two staff changes

By Luke Turner

The Moors have a new Club Secretary and Head of Retail...

Solihull Moors are very pleased to confirm the appointment of Julia Shelton as the new Club Secretary.

Julia brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise after holding the same role at Birmingham City for 20 years.

During that time, she worked for the Blues throughout their Premier League and Championship years and their Europa League campaign, maintaining a fantastic relationship with staff, players and supporters alike.

She now moves into fresh surroundings and is looking forward to the journey ahead.

Julia said: “I’m delighted and proud to be joining Solihull Moors as Club Secretary. Having learnt of Darryl (Eales) and Calvin’s (Barnett) plans for the Club it made me want to be part of the future here.

“I feel I’m joining a Club at a great time where the team are having a fantastic season pushing for promotion and I’m very much looking forward to being part of that going forward.”

Julia’s predecessor, Robin Lamb, has now taken on the role as Head of Retail at the Club after a period in the Secretary hotseat over the last few months.

He remained focused on the job while still balancing his Kit Manager duties and takes on an exciting challenge to enhance the Club’s retail department.

Robin said: “I’m looking forward to the new role and the opening of the new shop. It’s exciting times at the Club and I can’t wait to get going.

“I will still support Julia and help her out on the secretarial side of things, particularly on a matchday.”

Chief Executive Calvin Barnett had this to say on the two appointments: “We are absolutely delighted Julia has joined the team. She is great to work with and her years of experience in the Premier League and Championship will prove to be invaluable as we continue our push for promotion from the National League.”

“Robin has done a fantastic job to balance the secretary role with his existing role as Kit Manager - that is a credit to him.

“He has already thrown himself into the new role bringing to it his past experience in retail. He will push forward our merchandising offer in the coming months and into next season.”
