Over the next 18 months, the Club will be carrying out a three-phased approach in order to meet English Football League ground requirements and improve the facilities more generally, especially in creating a more family friendly environment.
Ahead of our Buildbase FA Trophy quarter-final tie against Telford United next Saturday, the Club will install a 1,131 all-seater stand on the Car Park Side Stand.
As a result of this, this section of the ground will have not have standing capacity.
Segregation barriers/gates will also need to be introduced on this side of the ground.
The Wadsworths Stand will become an all-standing terrace with all seats currently in place to be removed.
Improved crush barriers will also be fitted in the Wadsworth Stand.
Phase one will be completed by March 1st 2019.
Phase two work will be completed between May and July 2019.
In this phase, the focus will be on improvements to the Main Clubhouse Stand.
By the start of next season, this side of the ground will become all-seater. A new control room will be installed, along with a media room and improvements/additions to corporate hospitality.
In addition, toilets, refreshments and disabled facilities will all be improved.
The seating capacity of this stand will then become 1,219.
To complete phase two, the Club will be investing in an improved floodlighting system.
Phase three work will be completed between May and July 2020.
This will primarily see the installation of a brand new, all-seater stand with a capacity of 2,000 on the Car Park Side Stand.
This will include; 18 wheelchair positions, new toilets, refreshment huts and an away bar.
Final works will also be concluded on the Main Clubhouse Stand to include new changing rooms and a further extension to the stand.
We hope all supporters share our excitement and anticipation as the Club looks to improve the ground and facilities.
