Moors surrender two-goal lead...
Solihull Moors and FC Halifax Town will have to do it all over again after the two sides played out a 2-2 draw at the Shay in the second round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.
The visitors found themselves two goals to the good quickly into the second half, but the Shaymen battled back to earn a replay.
The Moors found plenty of space in between the Halifax defence and midfield early on, with Matty Stenson and Darren Carter both seeing efforts go high and wide.
Carter, who was in the thick of the action, then tested Sam Johnson with a low drive, before later then firing one just over the bar.
The hosts grew into the half and, from a corner, Matty Brown nodded towards goal, but there was Luke Maxwell to clear the danger.
Up at the other end, Adi Yussuf did well to hold the ball up and find Maxwell on the edge of the box - his curling effort towards goal was comfortably claimed by Johnson.
The Shaymen came close to taking the lead as a header back across goal dropped to Jordan Preston who volleyed just over the top of Ryan Boot’s bar.
Moors then had a glorious chance of their own as debutant Terry Hawkridge whipped in a cross that Maxwell met with a flicked header – Johnson did well to get down low and tip around the post.
Yussuf then broke clear of the Halifax defence and closed in on goal, before sliding his effort inches wide of the left-hand post.

Within two minutes of the restart, Tim Flowers’ side took the lead. Some good work between Maxwell and Carter resulted in the latter crossing for Yussuf, who turned and made no mistake from a few yards out.
That lead was doubled on the 58-minute mark as Stenson skipped past his man down the right and fired a ball across the box to Nathan Blissett who couldn’t miss from close range.
It could have easily been three as Blissett turned provider to Maxwell who was storming into the box, but he could only scoop over the bar.
Hawkridge was keen to get in on the action as the ball was set up nicely him to shoot from 25 yards, however it was straight down the throat of Johnson.
Halifax reduced the lead back to one as Boot’s clearance fell to substitute Cameron King, before played in in Dayle Southwell who chipped expertly over the Moors goalkeeper.
With 10 minutes still to play, the Moors looked to extend their lead as Yussuf did well to nut-meg Joe Skarz and forced Johnson into a low save at his near post.
But, back up the other end, the hosts levelled up as Matty Kosylo fired in a free-kick that Boot was unable to keep out at his near post.
The pendulum then almost swung in the direction of Jamie Fullarton’s side as Jonathan Edwards found himself in behind, but there was Boot to thwart the danger.
The two sides will now replay at the Automated Technology Group Stadium on Tuesday evening.
