A Statement from the Chairman

Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jamie Andrews ahead of the 2026/27 season, subject to league and FA approval. Andrews began his career at West Bromwich Albion, where he progressed through the Club's academy before signing his first professional contract in July 2021. The midfielder gained valuable senior experience during loan spells with Leamington FC and Yeovil Town, starting every game during his time with the Glovers. Following both loans, Andrews was recalled by West Brom and made his first-team debut in January 2023, starting in the Baggies' 4-0 FA Cup victory over Chesterfield. He joined Woking on a permanent deal in the summer of 2024 and went on to make 53 appearances, including 38 starts, for the Cardinals last season. Chris Millington, First Team Manager, said: "Jamie is a player who adds quality and energy to the midfield area; he's shown that he can perform consistently at National League level and, at 23, we believe there's still plenty more to come from him. We're delighted to have him on board." Speaking on the move, Andrews said: "I’m delighted to be here. As soon as I spoke to the Gaffer and heard the direction he wants to go in, I was very keen on getting it done. This move is important to me because it’s my hometown club and where all my family have been brought up. I can’t wait to show everyone what I can bring to the team and have a successful season." Andrews becomes the fourth addition to Millington's squad this summer and everyone at Solihull Moors would like to welcome Jamie to the Club and wish him every success.

I am pleased that I have been cleared of all charges. From the very beginning, I maintained my innocence and had confidence that the truth would ultimately prevail. While this has been a difficult and challenging process, I am grateful that the matter has now been resolved and that my innocence has been confirmed. An accusation of this nature is not something that should ever be taken lightly, and I genuinely cannot believe it reached this stage. It was an allegation that had the potential to ruin my career and everything I have worked so hard to build. All of that could have been taken away based on something that simply was not true. I want to say a huge thank you to my teammates and everyone at Boston United for supporting me throughout this process and for helping ensure that the truth came to light. I hope everyone involved reflects on the seriousness of situations like this and the impact they can have on those accused. False allegations can have far-reaching consequences, affecting not only careers and reputations but also families and loved ones. I believe it is important that lessons are learned from this so that no one else has to go through a similar experience. For nearly three months, I had to sit back and watch people make comments and assumptions about me that were completely untrue. My wife also received messages that were not only false but deeply upsetting to read. That was one of the hardest parts of this entire ordeal. I am relieved that I can now move forward, put this behind me, and focus on what matters most. A special thank you to Darryl, the Chairman, who has been unbelievable from the very beginning and never once doubted the type of person I am. I would also like to thank Phillip Bonner at Centrefield, all of the management staff, and everyone associated with Solihull Moors Football Club. They stood by me throughout this accusation and helped me get through an incredibly difficult period. Finally, thank you to everyone who supported me and my family during this time. Despite challenging weather conditions throughout the day, spirits remained high as a packed field of golfers took to the course for a fantastic day of competition, networking and relationship building at one of the UK's most prestigious golfing venues. Everyone at Solihull Moors is delighted to welcome Joe Sbarra back to the Club on a permanent basis ahead of the 2026/27 National League season, subject to league and FA approval. A familiar face to Moors supporters, Sbarra returns to Damson Park having enjoyed another hugely successful spell with the Club last season, finishing as the Moors’ top goalscorer and once again becoming a firm fans’ favourite. Joe’s connection with Solihull Moors stretches back to his first loan spell in 2019 and, since then, he has gone on to make 188 appearances in blue and yellow, scoring 41 goals and producing countless memorable moments along the way. A superb footballer on the pitch and a gentleman off it, Sbarra has played a key role in some of the most successful periods in the Club’s history. Having suffered two agonising play-off final defeats during his time with the Moors, supporters will be hoping it proves third time lucky as he commits his future to the Club. For many supporters, Moors has become Joe’s spiritual home, making his permanent return a major boost for Chris Millington’s squad ahead of the new campaign. Speaking on his return to Solihull Moors, Sbarra said: “ I’m absolutely over the moon to be rejoining the Moors! When I came back last year, it was like I’d never been away! I’m looking forward to making more memories and this time achieving the goal that was when I joined the club the very first time all those years ago, which is playing a part in getting this Club into the football league. I can’t wait for the new season to start and pick up where I left off last season!" Chris Millington, First Team Manager, added: “ This Club is developing an exciting record of iconic players building a rich history with the club. The announcement of Joe committing his future to the club is another example of the pull this club can have for fantastic local players. Me and the rest of the staff are really excited to have Joe in the ranks. He is a fantastic addition to the squad, he brings goals and excitement on the pitch and he has a great presence around the club off the pitch. Moors Chair, Darryl Eales, has resigned from his Chair role at Lions of Gibraltar but will remain as shareholder. Darryl commented, “ My primary focus is on my ownership of Moors and my other business interests alongside this. I haven’t taken the decision lightly but if I do something I want to be able give it 100% and this is unfortunately not practical given my other priorities and commitments. Positively, it will allow Lions to bring in a more time rich, active Chair who can also spend more time physically in Gibraltar. I will remain a shareholder and a positive advocate and fan of Lions and wish them every success in the com ing season.”

Solihull Moors are pleased to confirm the signing of Justin Hanks ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, subject to league and FA approval. The highly-rated defender arrives at Damson Park after progressing through the ranks at Nottingham Forest, where he gained valuable experience in Premier League 2 and was in the squad for several Europa League games with the first team. Still only 21, Hanks is regarded as an exciting young talent and becomes the latest addition to Chris Millington’s squad this summer. Speaking on the signing, Millington said: "I’m delighted to have secured the services of Justin, he’s a versatile defender who we have been tracking for a number of months. Justin is an important signing in this new era.” Justin added, "I’m really pleased to join Solihull Moors. It’s a great club with real ambition, and as soon as I heard about the opportunity, it felt like the right move for me. Solihull Moors are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Matty Carson ahead of the 2026/27 season, subject to league and FA approval. The 23-year-old defender joins the Moors following his spell with Boston United, where he made 33 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign, starting 28 matches as the Pilgrims secured their National League status. Carson began his career in the Liverpool academy before joining Burnley's youth set-up in 2019. The defender later moved to Reading, where he spent two seasons and made his first-team debut in a 4-0 victory over Millwall in August 2023, going on to make 10 senior appearances for the Royals. Following his departure from Reading, Carson joined Grimsby Town, making 13 appearances for the Mariners, while also gaining valuable experience during loan spells with Radcliffe and Alfreton Town. Carson becomes the first addition to Chris Millington's squad as preparations continue for the new season. Speaking on the signing, Chris added, "We have been aware of Matty since his time at Burnley and we've monitored his progress and performances. We feel he's at the perfect stage of his career to come and help us push forward with Moors. Defensively sound, he will also bring an added attacking dimension to our wide areas and we expect him to contribute to the quality of our set pieces.
