REPORTING TO: First Team Manager and Operations Director

FULL / PART TIME: Full-time plus all home match days

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and maintain the sports playing surfaces and facilities to the highest possible standards across both

sites (Stadium and Training Ground)

• Assist on all operational aspects of the grounds department, including preparation, maintenance, marking and

renovations.

• Undertake all grounds management duties, including but not limited to cutting, mowing, line marking,

aerating, divotting, fertilising, sand application, strimming and brushing of artificial grass.

• Utilising and maintaining all relevant tools and machinery associated with the grounds department.

• Ensuring all pitches and areas are clean from litter, safe and ready to use as and when required.

• Accurately record technical data relating to pitch performance and product applications.

• Complete and maintain all administrative duties relevant to the role as required.

• Ensure health and safety in the workplace by ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act on

all instructions relating to the use, control, storage of materials/equipment and information/data collection

necessary for the performance of tasks.

Job Title: Kit, Equipment, Operations Person (Temporary Cover)

Reporting To: 1st Team Manager & Operations Director

Full/Part Time: Full-time plus Match Days

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all match kit and equipment for all training sessions, home and away games.

• Ensure all kit is prepared professionally (Clean and correctly printed).

• Organise and prepare the transportation of all kit & equipment to and from matches.

• Regularly report lost or damaged kit/equipment.

• Ensure all match equipment is ready and fully functional (Subs board, training equipment etc).

• Maintain levels of stock and ensure equipment volume is checked regularly.

• Produce orders for kit, equipment and relevant items as and when required.

• Transport all equipment to and from matches using the kit van.

• Ensure all training equipment is cleaned and readily available for the next training session.

• Maintain levels of cleanliness at all times in storage rooms and the kit van.

• To assist in day-to-day football operational tasks when required to do so.

Solihull Moors Foundation U16’s Premiership Ability Counts Team Crowned League Champions

Solihull Moors Foundation are delighted to celebrate a fantastic achievement for our U16’s Premiership Ability Counts team, who have officially been crowned league champions following an outstanding season of commitment, teamwork, and determination.

After months of hard work both in training and on matchdays, the team finished the campaign in style by proudly lifting the league trophy, a well-deserved reward for the incredible effort shown by every player throughout the season.

The squad have represented the Foundation brilliantly from start to finish, consistently demonstrating resilience, sportsmanship, and togetherness. Their success on the pitch reflects not only their ability and determination as a team, but also the positive and inclusive environment that surrounds the Ability Counts programme.

Coaches, staff, volunteers, families, and supporters have all played an important role in helping the players grow in confidence and enjoy their football, and this title-winning season is a testament to the strength of that support network.

The Ability Counts programme at Solihull Moors Foundation provides inclusive football opportunities for children and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Through regular training sessions and competitive fixtures, participants are given the opportunity to develop football skills, build confidence, form friendships, and experience a strong sense of belonging through the power of sport.

This league title represents far more than results on the pitch. It highlights the positive impact inclusive sport can have within the community and showcases the dedication of everyone involved in creating opportunities for young people to thrive both on and off the field.

Everyone is incredibly proud of what the players have achieved this season, and the team should take great pride in this memorable accomplishment.

Match Report: Yeovil 1-4 Moors

Moors shine in last game of the season following fast four-goal start.

The Moors could not have asked for a better start as Jacob Wakeling reopened his account, finding far too much space on the edge of the Yeovil box before blasting past the keeper with his left foot.

Scott High doubled the lead just 12 minutes in, doing brilliantly to power through the Yeovil defence before firing hard and high, leaving the goalkeeper with little chance.

Wakeling grabbed his second and the Moors’ third after 15 minutes, dancing past half challenges from Yeovil before cutting inside from the right and driving low into the bottom corner.

There were no major chances for the next 15 minutes until Yeovil carved out their first real opportunity, which Works calmly converted around Laurie Walker.

The Moors almost responded instantly, working the ball superbly down the right before a floated cross was met by Wakeling, who could only head narrowly wide.

A deserved fourth arrived on 34 minutes as a gorgeous through ball into Joe Sbarra was met with an equally sweet first-time finish into the side netting.

The second half began with far less venom, with the Moors content to manage the game and see out a comfortable three-goal advantage.

Yeovil created the better chances after the break, forcing Will O’Sullivan into a number of excellent saves on his debut to keep his clean sheet intact. The pick of the bunch came in the 67th minute, when he somehow denied Works’ powerful low effort.

The Moors had the final big chance of the game in the 79th minute, but Callum McFarlane was denied from close range by a strong save low down from Jed Ward.

We have deliberately taken our time to consider and reflect on the events on Saturday and the dismissal of Conor Wilkinson.

The club is aware of the serious allegation that has been made against Conor, who denies making a racist remark during the fixture with Boston United.

The club is actively assisting the FA with its ongoing investigation into the incident, as well as supporting Conor during what is a difficult time for him both professionally and personally.

Moors is a committed community club and, in the interim we wish to reiterate that the club, (including all of its players, staff and officials) has always been, and remains, totally opposed to all forms of racism.

We will await the response of the relevant governing bodies before making any further comment.

Statistical Preview: Yeovil Town vs Solihull Moors

Solihull will be aiming to end their three-game winless streak when they face Yeovil Town in this upcoming National League fixture.

Solihull currently sit 15th in the National League whilst Yeovil sit two points below them in 16th place and have only won one of their last five games.

Andy’s Bet Club’s football analyst will break down Yeovil’s recent clash with York to see what the statistics suggest about how they might set up against Solihull.

The 3-0 scoreline suggested a comfortable victory for York, and the game statistics support this.

Both teams have been struggling to find the back of the net across their last five fixtures and will be looking to change this in their final league game of this season. Solihull managed to score 4 in a recent fixture against Boreham Wood, but they were unable to score in the rest of the five games, whilst Yeovil have only managed to score three in the same time period.

Yeovil have been the most passive side in the National League this year when it comes to pressing. They have an average PPDA of 15.6, which is the highest in the league and well above the league average of 11.8. Match Report: Moors vs Boston

Moors undone after red card as Boston capitalise in the second half following temporary suspension.

Both sides appeared evenly matched in the opening half, though Boston carved out the better opportunities, going closest when they struck the side netting after 23 minutes. The Moors struggled to turn promising moments into clear chances, with Jamey Osborne’s mazy runs ultimately leading to little end product.

The half was frequently disrupted by fouls and time-wasting from the visitors, preventing either side from building sustained momentum. With just minutes remaining before the break, Joe Sbarra came closest to breaking the deadlock after Osborne was played in down the left, but he was unable to get on the end of the delivery.

A triple change at half-time saw Conor Wilkinson, Jacob Wakeling and Daniel Cox introduced in place of Ben Worman, Emmanuel Sonupe and Callum McFarlane. The substitutions had an immediate impact, injecting energy into the Moors’ attacking play, with Wakeling going close ten minutes after the restart, forcing the Boston goalkeeper into a low, stretched save from distance.

However, the game took a dramatic turn when Wilkinson was shown a straight red card following an exchange with the referee, leading to a 15-minute suspension as the situation was dealt with in the tunnel.

Boston capitalised shortly after the restart, taking the lead when Lewis Baines inadvertently turned a cross into his own net while attempting to prevent Hazel from converting. The visitors doubled their advantage soon after, with Hazel doing well to hold up the ball inside the box before swivelling and firing into the top corner.

Boston thought they had added a third in the 86th minute when Maguire found the net, but the effort was ruled out for offside after the celebrations. It only delayed the inevitable, as Maguire struck again minutes later to seal the result and put the game beyond doubt.

Alex Whitmore to depart Solihull Moors at the End of the Season

Solihull Moors can confirm that defender Alex Whitmore will leave the Club at the end of the season.

Tomorrow’s fixture at Damson Park will mark Whitmore’s final home game for the Club, bringing to an end a spell in which he has become a hugely important figure both on and off the pitch.

An ever-present throughout this season, Whitmore has played a key role in the heart of the Moors' defence and has been a consistent presence in the side. His leadership, commitment and professionalism have made him a popular figure amongst teammates, staff and supporters alike.

Off the pitch, Whitmore’s character and personality have been just as important as his performances and his presence around the Club will be a huge loss when he departs at the end of the campaign.

Speaking on his departure, Whitmore said: "Leaving is not a decision I have taken lightly. This football club has become a real home for me and my family and I have nothing but positive memories from my time here. The people associated with this place, the fans, the staff and the players are what has made my time so enjoyable. I’d go as far as to say that this football Club is the most at home I've felt during my career. I would like to say a special thank you to the Chairman, who has looked after me at every opportunity and also to the gaffer, for the very same reason. Two gentlemen of the highest order and Solihull fans should be proud that they have them at this football Club. I will be watching on as a huge fan in the future and I wish nothing but the very best for the Club and everyone attached to it."

Chris Millington, First Team Manager, said: "Whits has been impeccable in his approach since Coops and I joined the Club. We identified early on his importance to the team and the culture of the Club and moved to try and secure his signature with a new deal. It was an incredibly difficult decision for Whits as his personal circumstances dictate he could not sign. He has a great affinity for everyone at the Club and we all have the same affection for him and the place won’t be the same without him. He will be sorely missed but we send him with our very best wishes and he is welcome back at Damson Park any time."

Chairman, Darryl Eales, added: "Whits has been a colossal figure at the Club over the past 3 seasons.

He is an exemplary professional, both on and off the pitch and a true leader of men.

It’s been a pleasure to get to know him and Kelly and we wish them every success in the future, both in football and in life."

Statistical Preview: Solihull Moors vs Boston United

It took until the fourth minute of stoppage time for Wealdstone to find an equaliser, but it was the least they deserved when you look at the game's statistics.

Wealdstone had 13 shots in the game, with 4 of those being on target, and they created an xG (expected goals) of 1.68. In comparison, Boston had just six shots with three on target, and they posted 1.35 xG.

Any supporters' coaches must drop fans off at the NCP parking point, as the Damson Parkway dual carriageway is a red route. It is at the coach driver’s discretion to drop supporters off on the red route; supporters must then walk from the NCP Car Park to the stadium.

The X12 bus runs to the ground every 15/20 minutes from Solihull Town Centre, the NCP and Birmingham International. In night matches, this increases to every 30 minutes.

Mid table clash ends goalless with neither team creating the spark to take all three points.

Woking started on the front foot, forcing Laurie Walker into action on multiple occasions. He was first called upon to deny a headed effort from Drewe, before producing a spectacular close-range save to keep out Andrews after 24 minutes. Chances were at a premium for the Moors in the opening stages, and that pattern continued until the break, with both sides struggling to create clear opportunities. The only real moment of note saw Beautyman have an effort blocked from inside the box.

The Moors came out with intent after the restart and struck the post early in the second half, as Ben Worman’s whipped corner caused chaos in the Woking box and led to another set-piece. Despite the lively start, the game soon lost its rhythm, with frequent stoppages disrupting any momentum either side tried to build.

Deep into stoppage time, the Moors nearly snatched all three points. Conor Wilkinson latched onto a Scott High corner in the 96th minute, but the Woking goalkeeper produced a last-ditch save on the line to deny a dramatic winner.

Match Report: Southend 0-0 Moors

Walker brilliance keeps Southend waiting for playoffs confirmation despite continued pressure.

Both teams produced a composed display but were repeatedly denied by an inspired goalkeeping battle at both ends. Darius Lipsiuc and Callum McFarlane came closest for the visitors, while Laurie Walker delivered a standout performance with a string of crucial saves. Southend pushed late on, but Walker’s heroics ensured the Moors remained firmly in the contest.

The Moors started brightly and took early control of possession, going close twice from corners, with both efforts drifting just wide of the home side’s goal.

Laurie Walker was called into action in the 12th minute and produced an excellent save after Taylor flicked the ball through to Scott-Morris, whose curling left-footed effort forced our number one into a smart stop.

Darius Lipsiuc came close to breaking the deadlock after 26 minutes when he latched onto Gubbin’s clearance, but Andeng Ndi was equal to his effort.

Callum McFarlane burst out of the blocks after the restart, driving forward and forcing another fine save from Ndi in the Southend goal. Lipsiuc was soon involved again in front of the hosts’ net, but the Southend goalkeeper continued to stand firm.

Walker was needed once more on the hour mark as substitute Appiah-Forson broke through, with the Moors stopper making another important intervention.

The pick of his saves came in the 83rd minute, when Walker produced an acrobatic stop, flying across his goal to tip a high curling effort around the post.

Solihull will be looking to build on their latest 4-1 victory when they travel to Southend.

Solihull currently sit 13th in the National League and have picked up seven points in their last five. Southend sit 7th, looking to secure a play-off spot and are on a good run of form, winning their last three games.

Andy’s Bet Club’s football analyst will break down Southend’s recent clash with Sutton to see what the statistics suggest about how they might set up against Solihull.

Southend ran out comfortable winners in this fixture, winning the game 3-0, and it was no surprise when you look at the shots statistics. Southend had 20 shots and seven on target, whereas Sutton only had eight shots and one on target. Southend also created a higher xG (expected goals) of 1.92 compared to Sutton’s 1.14.

Despite the dominant scoreline, the possession stats show that both sides had their fair share of the ball. However, Southend were a lot more productive when they had it.

Sutton progressed possession into the opposition half on 38 occasions, and six of those progressed into the penalty area. In comparison, Southend progressed 62 possessions into the opposition half and 22 into the penalty area.

The sides had very different intensities when out of possession. Southend had a PPDA (Passes per Defensive Action) of 11.0 and had an average formation line of 55.1. Sutton were a lot more passive with a PPDA of 23.2 and an average formation line of 38.4. A far more passive approach when Southend had the ball, and ultimately an unsuccessful one.

Final Thoughts

Southend have been on a great goalscoring run, finding the back of the net eight times in their last three games. Andy Dallas and Gus Scott-Morriss have been very influential for Southend this season, with Dallas providing a combined 17 goals and assists, while Scott-Morriss has plundered 16 goals and assists.

Southend have scored plenty of goals this year (70), but they are underperforming when you compare it to their xG. They have created an xG of 86.22 this season, which is the 2nd-best in the league.

The hosts have lined up in a 5-3-2 for the vast majority of the season.

Match Report: Moors 4-1 Boreham Wood

Moors reborn on Easter Monday as Lipsiuc shines in statement win over Boreham Wood.

Solihull Moors delivered a dominant display to sweep aside Boreham Wood, with Darius Lipsiuc the standout performer as he grabbed a brace and ran the show throughout. Ben Worman pulled the strings in the first half with two assists, while Callum McFarlane impressed on his return to the starting line-up with excellent hold-up play.

A moment of applause was observed by both teams in the 18th minute to pay respects to late fan Paul Pike.

Both sides were evenly matched for the opening 25 minutes, with a moment of quality needed to break the deadlock. It almost arrived in the 23rd minute when Callum McFarlane did superbly to hold up the ball before laying it off to Joe Sbarra on the left, whose cross found Ben Worman, but his effort was well saved low down by Ted Curd.

The breakthrough came shortly after from a corner following some intricate play. Ben Worman’s delicate delivery found Lewis Baines, who powered a header home for his first goal in Moors colours.

James Clarke nearly marked his return to his former club with a goal, linking up well with Rush to burst down the right, but his effort drifted just wide of the far post.

The Moors doubled their lead on 37 minutes, with McFarlane once again heavily involved as he recycled a free kick before feeding Worman, whose pinpoint cross was met by Darius Lipsiuc, the forward heading home to make it two.

It was almost three before the break as Lipsiuc’s relentless pressing won the ball high up the pitch. He fed Worman, who cleverly flicked it through to Sbarra, but the midfielder was flagged narrowly offside.

Boreham Wood threatened just before half-time when Abdulmalik danced into the box, forcing an excellent save from Laurie Walker to ensure the Moors took a two-goal lead into the interval.

Solihull started the second half with real intent and extended their lead within three minutes. McFarlane had space just beyond halfway and threaded a perfect ball through to Lipsiuc, who showed great composure to slot home his second of the afternoon.

The Moors thought they had a fourth soon after when Lipsiuc glided past his man and squared for McFarlane, but the move was ruled out with the ball adjudged to have just gone out of play.

Joe Sbarra got the goal his performance deserved in the 54th minute, capitalising on a mistake from Ilesanmi, twisting away from pressure on the edge of the box and firing into the corner to make it 4-0.

Substitute Josh Landers pulled one back for the visitors in the 81st minute following a scramble in the box, with Abdulmalik again at the heart of the move.

The visitors almost added a second in stoppage time as Abdulmalik caused further problems, crossing for Sousa whose header forced another low stop from Walker, but it proved only a consolation as the Moors comfortably saw out an impressive victory.

Match Report: Tamworth v Moors

Moors fall short as Tamworth capitalise on defensive errors.

Solihull Moors were unable to build on recent momentum as Tamworth claimed victory, punishing key mistakes in a game short on quality but decided by fine margins. Despite a bright moment from Ben Worman early on, the Moors struggled to create clear chances and were made to pay in the second half.

The Moors’ best opportunity of the first half came in the 13th minute when Ben Worman found space on the edge of the box and curled an effort towards the top right-hand corner. It looked destined for the net, but an outstanding defensive header from Rye diverted the ball onto the crossbar.

Tamworth largely had the upper hand in the opening period, although neither goalkeeper was truly tested. The game lacked quality in the final third for both sides, with frequent fouls disrupting any rhythm and preventing either team from building sustained attacks.

The hosts came close to taking the lead nine minutes into the second half following a Solihull corner. Singh gathered the ball and quickly bowled it out to Lynch, who released Acquaye through on goal, but Laurie Walker reacted well to rush out and meet the striker at his feet.

However, from the resulting goal kick, Solihull’s defence faltered. A slip just eight yards out allowed Mols to pounce and deliver a cross to Dan Creaney, who guided his header across goal, off the post and into the net.

Despite making several attacking changes, the Moors struggled to pose any real threat, with the final ball consistently failing to find a yellow shirt. Tamworth managed the game effectively in the closing stages and nearly added a second in stoppage time when another defensive error allowed Creaney through, but Walker was equal to his effort on that occasion.

Sbarra strike secures Moors’ first home win since Boxing Day.

S olihull Moors returned to winning ways with a controlled 1-0 victory over Altrincham, ending their winless run in front of home support. A composed first-half finish from Joe Sbarra proved the difference in a game where the Moors showed both attacking intent early on and resilience late on. The result marked a much-needed three points and a clean sheet to match.

The Moors made a fast start, dominating possession and creating early openings as they looked to put recent struggles behind them. That intent paid off in the 11th minute when Isaac Moore did superbly to absorb the press before laying the ball into the path of Joe Sbarra, who calmly side-footed his effort into the far right-hand corner to open the scoring.

Altrincham responded strongly and enjoyed a spell of pressure midway through the first half, forcing Laurie Walker into a series of important saves to preserve the lead. However, Solihull regained control before the break, with Sbarra and home debutant Tobi Sho-Silva both going close to doubling the advantage. Sho-Silva in particular impressed with his relentless pressing and willingness to chase every ball, causing constant problems for the visitors’ defence.

The second half began in a similar fashion for the new signing, who nearly made an instant impact after capitalising on a defensive error. After nicking the ball from the Altrincham centre-halves, Sho-Silva drove forward but saw his effort well saved by the goalkeeper.

From there, the game became increasingly fragmented, with frequent fouls disrupting the flow. Solihull managed the contest effectively, sitting on their narrow lead and limiting Altrincham to very few clear-cut chances. It was a disciplined defensive display from the Moors, who saw out the remainder of the game with composure to secure a valuable three points.

The 20-year-old arrives from Birmingham City U21s, where he has gained valuable experience competing in both Premier League 2 and the Premier League Cup.

Andy’s Bet Club’s football analyst will break down Altrincham’s recent clash with Boston to see what the statistics suggest about how they might set up against Solihull.

Although Altrincham dominated the ball in this fixture with 54% possession, it was Boston who were a lot more effective when they had the ball.

The home side created 28 shots and directed 10 of those on target, whilst the away side only generated four shots with two on target. With the large number of shots on goal, it’s no surprise that Boston had a higher xG (expected goals) in the game. They created an xG of 2.52, and Altrincham created an xG of 0.95.

Cox Joins The Moors On Loan

Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of defender Daniel Cox, who joins the Club on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old arrives from Derby County and can operate across the back line, bringing strong defensive qualities as well as valuable experience at academy and international level.

Cox has featured regularly for Derby County’s academy sides, making 20 appearances in the Premier League 2 across the last two seasons and captaining the side on several occasions. He has also featured for the club’s Under-21 side, continuing his development within the Rams’ pathway.

The defender has also been involved with the Wales national under-19 football team, progressing through the age groups from Under-15 level and captaining the Under-19s on three occasions during last season’s UEFA Euro Under-19 qualifiers.

Prior to his time at Derby, Cox has also spent time with Walsall and Wealdstone, gaining further experience within the professional game.

Speaking on the signing, First Team Manager Chris Millington said:

Moors battle the elements to earn a point in Cornwall after Sbarra cancels out Stretton’s overhead kick.

The tone for the first half was set early, with the strong wind playing a huge role and severely limiting Truro’s ability to get the ball forward, as long passes repeatedly held up and returned towards their own half. As a result, the hosts were largely in survival mode, unable to register a single effort on Laurie Walker’s goal.

Despite the conditions, the Moors were also unable to truly capitalise. Debutant Tobi Sho-Silva found it difficult to get on the end of through balls, with the wind often carrying them away from his path. The best opportunity of the half fell to Isaac Moore, who did well to shift the ball past his defender on the edge of the box, but could only fire his effort wide of the target.

The wind continued to influence proceedings after the break, this time working against the Moors as they struggled to clear their lines and relieve pressure.

Truro’s persistence eventually paid off, with Jack Stretton producing a stunning overhead kick to break the deadlock and give the hosts the lead.

The Moors responded well, with Joe Sbarra at the heart of the fightback alongside substitute Callum McFarlane, who returned from loan with a point to prove. Sbarra did brilliantly to win possession in midfield before calmly slotting past the goalkeeper to level the score in the 77th minute.

From there, the game once again became a battle against the conditions, with the wind stifling any attacking momentum and preventing the Moors from launching meaningful counter-attacks, as the contest drifted towards its inevitable conclusion.

Match Report: Solihull Moors vs FC Halifax Town

Halifax Town take all three points and push themselves into playoff places after a 3-0 victory over a ten-men Solihull Moors.

Another National League fixture at Damson Park ends in defeat for Solihull Moors as Chris Millington faced his former club, Halifax Town.

The Moors started the game off strong. Only eleven minutes into the game, Scott High had a chance to put Solihull ahead, which unfortunately took a deflection.

Only a minute later High’s efforts, Halifax found the lead through the current top goalscorer at the club, Will Harris.

The Moors tried to answer back five minutes later, as they hunted for an equaliser. Another attempt by High after a cross from Jamey Osbourne, but his efforts weren’t enough.

Just before the break, Halifax increased their lead to two.

The Moors hunted for a goal to get back into the game, and they came close after 62 minutes of play. Scott High produced a low driven shot from outside the box, but his effort was just wide.

After 76 minutes of play, Solihull were reduced down to ten men after Scott High was shown a straight red card.

Solihull continued to push for a crucial and much needed goal, but unfortunately nothing came of their efforts.

However, Halifax didn’t stop applying the pressure and they found their third of the game in the 90 ^th minute.

Chris Millington’s side will now turn their attention to Wednesday where they face bottom of the table, Truro City away.

Solihull Moors were left frustrated on the road as a strong second-half showing was cancelled out by a resilient Brackley Town fightback.

The Moors were forced to settle for a point on the road as Brackley Town fought back in the second half at St James Park.

The hosts began on the front foot, although clear-cut chances were at a premium in a scrappy opening period. It was the Moors who carved out the first real opportunity, as Jamey Osborne delivered a superb ball over the top for Bradley Stevenson, whose well-struck volley was matched by an equally impressive save from Maxted.

Brackley came closest to breaking the deadlock in the 36th minute. A deep cross from Roberts found Lowe rising highest, but his header crashed against the crossbar with Laurie Walker beaten, ensuring the sides went into the interval level after a stop-start first half.

The Moors emerged after the break with renewed intent and were rewarded early in the second period. Isaac Moore picked up possession on the edge of the area and drilled a low effort beyond the Brackley goalkeeper to give the visitors the advantage.

Moments later, the hosts were reduced to ten men as former Moors striker Tavon Campbell was shown a red card following an aerial challenge. Despite their numerical disadvantage, Brackley responded with determination and gradually worked their way back into the contest.

Their persistence paid off in the 75th minute when Lowe found space inside the area and fired past Walker to restore parity.

Five-star Wealdstone take advantage of Moors’ poor form

The home side started quickly and took the lead in the 12th minute. A well-delivered free-kick was met by McAvoy, whose header flew into the top-left corner and left Laurie Walker with no chance.

Wealdstone continued to dominate throughout the first half, but went into the break with only a one-goal advantage, leaving the Moors with hope heading into the second period.

That hope was dented in the 56th minute when Adarkwa found space on the right wing, drove forward, cut inside onto his right foot and fired an uncontested effort into the bottom-right corner.

The Stones struck again just three minutes later as Tshikuna made it three, lashing a powerful shot into the left side of the net from outside the box.

Conor Wilkinson pulled one back for the Moors on 64 minutes, but Wealdstone responded immediately from the restart. Substitute Agyemang played Obiero through, and he made no mistake in front of goal.

Since arriving at the Moors, James has gone on to make over 200 appearances for the Club, becoming a key figure both on and off the pitch. A consistent performer across multiple seasons, he played an important role during some of the most successful periods in the Club’s history, including our runs to the National League Play-Off Finals at Wembley.

Dedicated Game Celebrates the Unite For Access Campaign

Solihull Moors FC and Solihull Moors Foundation came together to show their support for inclusion and accessibility in football, through the Unite for Access Campaign.

The recent fixture at Damson Park served as a dedicated matchday in support of the campaign, a national initiative led by Level Playing Field that promotes accessibility and inclusion for disabled sports fans.

Delivered by Solihull Moors Foundation, the day created an opportunity for children, young people and adults to enjoy and experience a welcoming and inclusive matchday environment.

Throughout the day, more than 200 children, young people and adults joined us altogether at Damson Park to celebrate the Unite For Access campaign. Participants took part in a range of activities and activations on the astro. The energy and enthusiasm from everyone involved created a fantastic atmosphere, highlighting the importance of providing inclusive and accessible opportunities within sport.

Joining us on the day were SuperSEN and Solihull Advert Through Advocacy, who helped share the initiative and show their support for the Unite For Access campaign.

The Foundation was also delighted to welcome Madam Mayor and Councillor Karen Grinsell as special guests on the day. We appreciate their continued support and the work they have done alongside the Foundation to help strengthen opportunities within the community.

The day also reflected the shared commitment of Solihull Moors Foundation and Solihull Moors to break down barriers and ensure that football remains inclusive and accessible for everyone. Creating opportunities where everyone feels welcome, valued and able to take part is central to the Foundation’s work within the community.

Visitors, Gateshead, take home all three points as Solihull Moors face another defeat at Damson Park.

Solihull Moors opened the game with a goal from Darius Lipsiuc in the 6 ^th minute, who produced a great right footed finish as former Gateshead player, Ben Worman grabbed the assist.

The visitors replied in the 35 ^th minute, as they found an equaliser through William Chapman, meaning The Moors entered the break level after leading the game.

There was a lull in play as both teams searched for a goal to put them ahead, The Moors came close in the 55 ^th minute after a corner which allowed Whitmore to have a great effort on target, however, Gateshead keeper, Desbois made a great save to end The Moors’ hopes.

Moors had another opportunity to put them ahead, this time through a penalty after a handball by a Gateshead player. Unfortunately for The Moors, Wilkinson sent the ball over the bar.

Gateshead responded three minutes later as Ben Radcliffe found the winner for the visitors.

Last minutes of the game and Gateshead had an opportunity to extend their lead, luckily for The Moors, Laurie Walker produced a great save to deny Gateshead of a third.

Solihull travel to Wealdstone on Saturday, the 14 ^th of March, for their next National League fixture.

Andy’s Bet Club’s football analyst will break down Gateshead’s recent clash with Braintree to see what the statistics suggest about how they might set up against Solihull.

Former Gateshead player Ben Worman spoke about playing his former club for the first time at Damson Park.

After leaving Gateshead in June 2025 to join The Moors, Ben Worman said he feels “Excited to see some old faces and to hopefully get three points.”

“I think we’ve had a patchy spell of results. We’ve played well for certain periods of certain games, but we need to put that into 90 minutes now and have a good performance over a bit more of a longer period of time and most importantly, get three points and hopefully we can do that in front of a home crowd.

“We’ve had a thorough amount of analysis done on the opposition by the coach and staff. I know myself, knowing a fair amount of the players, their strengths and weaknesses, a bit more than other players. There will be things I can think about that I can use going into the game

“We don’t really keep an eye on specific teams, just our own performance and our own collective responsibility in getting three points. I think even though we’ve lost and been on the wrong end of results recently, obviously we got a point on Saturday, but the results previous to that, they’re all games that we’ve played well enough and at stages to see that we’re capable of winning it in the end.

“We’re just taking each game as it comes, trying to attack as much as possible and ultimately just getting as many wins underboard now from now to the end of the season.”

MATCH REPORT: Scunthorpe United 3-3 Solihull Moors

A dramatic late strike from Isaac Moore rescued a point for ten-man Solihull Moors after Conor Wilkinson’s brace was overturned by a Whitehall hat-trick.

The Moors had the ball in the back of the net inside the opening ten minutes, but a tight offside call denied them the lead. That changed five minutes later as Solihull’s midfield did brilliantly to win possession and release Darius Lipsiuc down the left. His initial effort was tame, but it fell perfectly for Conor Wilkinson, who produced an exceptional first touch to glide past his defender before calmly slotting beyond the Irons goalkeeper.

A dry, stop-start half-hour followed with few clear chances. The hosts began to edge the momentum, earning multiple set pieces, though none truly tested the Moors backline. Just before the break, Wilkinson struck again in sensational fashion, driving from the halfway line past four defenders before unleashing a powerful effort from outside the box that flew beyond Jones to double Solihull’s advantage.

Scunthorpe came out firing after the restart and pulled one back within five minutes. A corner drifted to the back post where Boyce headed goalwards, and Whitehall was on hand to steer it over the line. Further controversy followed as Tyler French was shown a red card after an off-the-ball altercation with Whitehall. The hosts nearly levelled soon after when a chaotic scramble in the Moors box gifted Whitehall a free header from five yards, but he somehow steered wide.

The equaliser did arrive when Roberts beat Cameron Green on the right before drilling a cross into the box for Whitehall to tap home. The striker completed his hat-trick in the 85th minute, as Roberts once again found space down the flank and delivered for Whitehall to finish from close range, turning the game on its head at 3–2.

Deep into stoppage time, the Moors showed real determination. Darius Lipsiuc won a crucial corner, and when the delivery dropped kindly inside the area, Isaac Moore smashed home through a crowd of bodies to salvage a dramatic point for Solihull.

Solihull Moors travel to Scunthorpe on Saturday, 28 ^th February, for another National League fixture.

The Moors were due to play Woking earlier this week in the National League, but following a pitch inspection, the game was postponed.

The Moors sit in 11 ^th place with 42 points, the same as Aldershot Town and Tamworth, but only a point separates Solihull from Boston United, who have played two more games than The Moors.

Solihull Moors have managed to score seven goals in their last five matches and haven’t lost to Scunthorpe United in their last five meetings with the side.

The hosts this week, Scunthorpe, have lost four and drawn one of their last five games.

Their most recent outing saw them host York City on Tuesday evening, which saw York come out victorious in a 3-0 victory.

Scunthorpe currently sit in 5 ^th place in terms of the table with 60 points. A win on Saturday would further secure their chances of getting promoted at the end of the season.

Last time these two teams met was November last year, which saw The Moors win 3-0 at Damson Park. Three goals came from Tyrese Sinclair, Steven Bradley, who received a red card 11 minutes after scoring, and Tyler French.

Another upset for Solihull Moors as another National League fixture results in a defeat, as Hartlepool United take all three points back with them.

Solihull Moors took the lead in the 8 ^th minute following a penalty which allowed Conor Wilkinson to covert from the penalty spot.

Hartlepool United hunted an equaliser and in the 20 ^th minute, Laurie Walker produced a great save to stop Hartlepool’s effort.

Four minutes later, The Moors doubled their lead after a poor pass back from Hartlepool’s Gavan Holohan ended up in the back of his own net.

With Hartlepool on the back foot, they found the goal they were searching for in the 40 ^th minute as Alex Reid found the back of the net.

Just before the break, Hartlepool found their second goal in order to equalise which came through Jamie Miley.

After the break, the Moors had a great spell of possession, allowing Darius Lipsiuc to have a chance, unfortunately for him, his efforts were off target.

As both teams battled for a winning goal, Hartlepool had a great effort in the 65 ^th minute to put them in front, but Tyler French produced an important block in front of goal to keep The Moors level.

Unfortunately for Hartlepool, play was stopped in the 75 ^th minute due to an injured player and play was then resumed in the 83 ^rd minute.

Only a minute later, Hartlepool scored a goal to put them in front through former Solihull Moors man Tyrese Sinclair.

After the 90 minutes, there was 13 minutes of added time and Hartlepool grabbed another goal as Tyrese Sinclair grabbed his second of the game.

Two minutes after, Solihull received a penalty which initially was missed by Bradley Stevenson, but Emmanuel Sonupe followed it up producing a fantastic bicycle kick to give The Moors their third goal of the game.

Solihull kept pushing for an equaliser until the final whistle, but it wasn’t enough to secure a draw as Hartlepool took back all three points.

The Moors will now turn their attention as they prepare for their next game away to Woking on Wednesday, 25 ^th February.

Lewis Baines Joins Solihull Moors on Loan

Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of defender Lewis Baines, who joins the Club on loan until the end of the season.

The left-footed centre-back arrives at Damson Park from Altrincham, where he has been a regular presence since the summer of 2022. Before his time at Altrincham, Baines featured prominently for Chorley, building a strong reputation for his defensive reliability and composure on the ball.

Baines brings valuable experience to the Moors back line as the Club heads into a crucial stage of the season, adding balance with his left foot and versatility across defensive positions.

Speaking on the signing, the Moors manager said:

Solihull Moors defender, James Clarke, spoke about The Moors’ next game as they face 9th-place Hartlepool.

The Moors will host Hartlepool this Saturday 21st February at Damson Park, where three points for the Moors would put them into 9th place, ahead of Hartlepool, as Solihull push for a playoff place with 14 games left to play.

“I think it’s important for us to get back to winning ways because we’ve had a couple of tough results, which we think we could have got more out of, especially Eastleigh we were two goals up and ended up losing the game and then Braintree, we had lots of chances, I thought we could have won the game in the end.

“I think if we can win and kind of get back our momentum, then that would be great for the lads.

“We know we’ve got so much quality in the team, going forward especially. If we can keep it defensively tight at the back, I think there’s no problem with getting some goals.

Dave Boddy Joins The Moors as CEO

Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the appointment of Dave Boddy as CEO of the club.

Dave has a wealth of experience across the football world and is both well respected and well liked.

His most notable role was as CEO of Coventry City from 2017 - 2024 overseeing a rise from League Two to the Championship and being a penalty kick away from the Premier League. He was also previously Chair of Worcester City, CEO of Newport County AFC as well as holding senior roles in the general administration of the game.

On his appointment, Dave said, " I am really excited about the opportunity that the Moors are offering me and excited to be back in the game. Darryl and the rest of the team have built a great infrastructure for the Club and the Training Ground is the envy of most League One and Two Club's. Eastleigh come into this weekend sitting 13th in the table, and are currently on a three-match unbeaten run. Solihull, meanwhile, sit in 18th, but have shown signs of improvement, winning two of their last four matches.

Andy’s Bet Club’s football analyst will take a closer look at Eastleigh’s match in midweek against Truro City, to see what the statistics suggest about how they might approach this clash with Solihull Moors.
