Solihull Moors were beaten 2-1 by Kidderminster Harriers at Aggborough Stadium in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup, as Chris Millington's men missed out on the chance of been involved in Monday night's first round draw. Team news Nat Ford started in goal in place of Max Metcalfe. Jevon Mills, Marvin Johnson and Ben Wodskou also came into the side, replacing Tyrell Warren, Matty Carson and Oscar Rutherford from last week's National League defeat against Worthing. Kick-off The referee was busy early on in a frantic start, booking both Jacob Wakeling and Kidderminster's Richard Faakye inside the opening 4 minutes of the game, and Ben Wodskou having a goal disallowed as Joe Sbarra was offside in the build-up. GOAL - 15' Kidderminster. The home sides first chance of the game fell to Lewis Walker. After a nice passage of play, the forward collected the ball on the edge of the box and fired an effort into the back of the net. Kidderminster 1-0 Moors. A chance for The Moors followed, with Joe Sbarra driving a low shot narrowly wide from outside the area, courtesy of a deflection, and out for a corner. Walker was then almost involved in another goal for the hosts, teeing up midfielder Callum Dolan, who's powerful drive flew just past the post. Jamie Andrews had a tame effort easily dealt with by on-loan Manchester City goalkeeper Jack Wint, as Solihull put the pressure on and forced mistakes in the Harriers defence. Captain Alex Whitmore was desperately unlucky to see his effort hit the post when he met a deep corner with a header at the far post. On the stroke of half-time, Marvin Johnson broke through and dragged a shot across goal from a tight angle, with the ball going the wrong side of the post against one of his former clubs. Half-time score - Kidderminster 1-0 Solihull Moors. Second half GOAL - 53' Kidderminster. A second goal for the Aggborough side came when Davis brilliantly found his team-mate Callum Stewart in the box, before the forward, on-loan from Shrewsbury, turned and poked past Nat Ford in the Solihull goal to put the hosts two goals ahead. 2-0 A second chance of the game fell to Johnson, who again struck from an angle, this time getting his shot in target, only for Wint to palm the ball away to safety. GOAL - 58' Moors. Scott High did well to disposses David Davis, before the Moors midfield man stroked home into the bottom left corner to bring his side back into the game. 2-1 It was then almost a disaster for The Moors, when a back-pass was played short to Nat Ford, and left-back Reece Devine reacted quickest as he burst through on goal, and chipped the ball over the keeper, but saw his effort hit the top of the bar. A major let off for the away side. Moments later Ford was involved again, this time superbly reacting when a vicious cross was whipped in from Dolan and deflected goalwards by a Moors defender. Great goalkeeping to keep his side in the game and prevent an own-goal. Moors Manager Millington sent on Elias Kachunga and Henry Rylah, making his second debut of the season for Solihull, returning on-loan from Charlton after his initial loan spell was cut short by injury. The duo replaced Jevon Mills and Ben Wodskou. The influential Johnson was on the attack again, putting a dangerous ball into the box, which found Kachunga, but the forward could only put his effort wide of the target. Florent Hoti then replaced goalscorer Scott High, as Solihull tried to find a way to level the game with 10 minutes left to play. Whitmore did brilliantly to deny a dangerous opportunity for Kidderminster in the final minute, timing his challenge perfectly to prevent Devine getting a shot away from close-range after been sent through on goal by Walker. Deep into second half stoppage time, Moors had one last chance, winning a free-kick right on the edge of the box. Johnson struck low and hard, but saw his effort fantastically saved by Wint, before the referee blew the final whistle and The Moors head out the FA Cup. Final score Kidderminster 2-1 Solihull Moors Attendance 2478 (including 224 travelling Moors fans) Thank you Moors fans, for such a terrific turnout away from home to back the boys. It wasn't the result we wanted as we exit the FA Cup, and now we go back to focusing on the league. We hope you all have a safe journey home, and look forward to seeing you at Damson Park soon. COYM💛💙 Next up We're back in National League action next, as we face Carlisle at Damson Park on the 24th October, kick-off 3pm. The last time we faced the Cumbrian side at home, it was a 3-3 thriller, with Scott High scoring a last-gasp wonder goal to secure a point. Match report written by Scott Cattell.

Solihull Moors travel to the Aggborough Stadium to face Kidderminster on Saturday in the FA Cup 4th round of qualifying, and Andy’s Bet Club experts are on hand to preview the game, as they will for the 2026/27 season. Their site is packed with free football tips , updated daily with expert insight. Match Preview Solihull head into their FA Cup tie with Kidderminster on the back of a 5-0 defeat at Worthing in the National League, but did beat Everton U21 1-0 in the National League Cup midweek. Worthing scored three times between the 28th and 40th minutes, added two more in the second half and finished with 13 shots to the seven managed by Solihull. Kidderminster Harriers played on the same day and came away from Carlisle with a goalless draw. They had 41% of the ball and spent long periods defending, with Carlisle taking 16 shots and missing a penalty in stoppage time. Solihull Moors Form Guide Worthing edged the xG last Saturday 2.48 to Solihull’s 0.97. The first half did the damage, with Cory Adjetey-Brew, Razzaq Coleman De-Graft and Ricky Aguiar all scoring while Solihull had only 32% of the ball. There were signs of attacking promise from the Moors in the final third, where they had eight deep completions, meaning passes received within 20 metres of the opponent’s goal, to two for Worthing. Kidderminster Harriers Form Guide Carlisle finished on 2.30 xG to 0.68 for Kidderminster, and the clean sheet owed a great deal to Jack Wint. He made four saves, all recorded as reflex saves, including a stop from Regan Linney’s stoppage-time penalty. Kidderminster made 52 interceptions and 43 clearances, and their PPDA of 15.6 means they made one defensive action for roughly every 16 Carlisle passes. The Harriers currently sit 11th in the National League, but are without a win in their last five games. Tactical Insight The contest between Jacob Wakeling and the Kidderminster centre-backs could shape this tie. Against Worthing, he was involved in 37 duels and won 14, and his six touches in the penalty area were the most of any Solihull player. Both of his shots were on target, although he lost all six of his aerial duels. Conclusion Despite being second-bottom in the National League, Solihull will fancy a cup tie against a Kidderminster side completely out of sorts. If you’ve enjoyed this match review, Andy’s Bet Club publishes expert predictions across football competitions each week.

An FA Youth Cup clash awaits our young Solihull Moors side as they travel to Shifnal Town FC to face AFC Telford United’s under-18s in the third qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup. In the second qualifying round, Moors faced Chasetown FC and won a dramatic penalty shootout 4-3. 120 minutes failed to separate the two sides as the game finished 2-2 in the allotted time. The Moors have had an electric start to their NFLA North Division campaign, winning their first three games and scoring 11, seeing them sit 3 rd . AFC Telford’s U18s, who play in the Midland Junior Premier League, are the current reigning champions of the division and are also unbeaten in their last 5 games in the league and currently sit top of the league. The Bucks have also enjoyed similar success so far in the cup, beating Hereford Pegasus 2-1 and comfortably defeating Solihull rivals Tamworth Academy. The opposition also reached the first-round proper of the competition last season and will be hopeful of replicating the feat. A win on Thursday night would see Solihull enter the first-round proper, where EFL clubs will enter the draw and give the young Moors an opportunity against some of the country's best opposition. Solihull Moors U18's head into FA Youth Cup action on Thursday night, facing AFC Telford U18's at the Third-Round Qualifying stage. The Moors beat Chasetown U18's 4-3 on penalties in the previous round, after coming from behind in the match to draw 2-2. Head of academy, Myles Cooper said he was pleased with the manner in which his young Moors side refused to give up and battled their way back into the game, but acknowledged the need to start matches as positively as they did in the second period. Cooper singled out recent Moors first-team debutant Elijah Hyde-Moore, praising the impact the exciting attacker made after coming on in the second half. Several Moors academy products have gained recent experience with the senior side, whether that's getting valuable minutes on the pitch, been involved in Chris Millington's matchday squads, or training with established first-team players on a regular basis. Most notably, Flynn Coffey scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory against Newcastle U21's in the National League Cup at Damson Park, further highlighting the great work done by Cooper and the coaching staff in preparing academy players for senior football. Our opponents Telford, will provide a tough test after sailing through their last game in the competition, comfortably beating Tamworth 3-0 with a confident and clinical performance. Their Midland Junior Premier League form has impressive too, winning their last 5 games, whilst scoring 22 goals and conceding only twice, in a run that also includes 3 clean sheets. Solihull Moors, led by manager Chris Millington, are going to be taking another break from league action as they go ahead and take on an Everton Under 21s side who are currently led by boss Dave Hughes. The game is set to take place at Damson Park, and they will be looking to secure victory in their latest match of the 2026/27 National League Cup. The most recent game for the Toffees’ under 21s outfit was in this competition against promotion-chasing Boreham Wood away from home, ending in what was a 1 – 1 draw between them in the end at the Mangata Developments Stadium Meadow Park, though visitors Everton eventually won 4 – 2 on penalties overall. Zak Brunt and Omari Benjamin scored for their respective sides. When it comes to their Premier League 2 campaign, they drew 0 – 0 away from home against Reading at Bearwood Park Training Ground in their most recent league game. Their last win was in the league game before that against Brentford away at Wheatsheaf Park, where the Blues were 2 – 0 winners through Melvin Matos and Malik Olayiwola. As of the time of writing, Everton’s Under 21s team are currently sat in 14 th place with 5 points from 4 games as of the time of writing; it sees them currently sat midtable, with them having ambitions of potentially climbing up to the upper reaches of the Premier League 2 table ahead of the end of the season. They are presently 5 points adrift of Tottenham at the top of the table. Everton are of course amongst the most famous and historic clubs in the country, with them having been founded all the way back in 1878. They were originally known as St. Domingo’s FC, with the original purpose of the club being to provide the members of the congregation at the St. Domingo Methodist New Connexion Chapel in Breckfield Road North with a football team so that they could play sport all year round, with them playing Cricket as well at the time. The Toffees then became one of the 12 founding members of the English Football League in 1888 alongside the likes of Accrington Stanley, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley, Derby County, Notts County, Preston North End, Stoke, West Bromwich Albion, and finally Wolverhampton Wanderers. Preston were the first champions in the 1888/89 season. Everton were also to go on to help form the Premier League more than a century later in 1992. They were the first club to be presented with the League Championship trophy, as well as the first to be presented with medals for winning the league championship title. Their historic home, Goodison Park, was the first to stage an FA Cup Final, which was in 1894 between Notts County and Bolton Wanderers. In 1906, they were the first club on Merseyside to win an FA Cup, beating Newcastle United 1 – 0 with a goal from Sandy Young in the second half at Crystal Palace in London. The Toffees then went on to win the trophy a further four times in 1933, 1966, 1984, and 1995, winning them in games against the likes of Manchester City, Sheffield Wednesday, Watford, and finally Manchester United in the 1990s. Everton have also won the First Division title on a number of occasions, having done so 9 times so far, with their most recent championship crown coming all the way back in the 1986/87 season under the stewardship of their legendary manager Howard Kendall. Their previous titles in the top tier came in 1890/91, 1914/15, 1927/28, 1931/32, 1938/39, 1962/63, 1969/70, and 1984/85. They also have one Second Division crown in 1930/31. They have also won the FA Charity Shield nine times, lifting it in 1928, 1932, 1963, 1970, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1995. In 1986, they shared it with their Merseyside rivals Liverpool. This was as a result of a 1 – 1 draw at Wembley, thanks to the goals of Ian Rush and Adrian Heath respectively. Everton have also won a European honour, with them lifting the prestigious UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1984/85 season. They defeated Austrian side Rapid Wien 3 – 1 thanks to the goals of Andy Gray, Trevor Steven, and Kevin Sheedy. It was Hans Krankl who scored the goal for their opponents that day. Along the way, they were able to beat the likes of Ireland’s UCD (1 – 0 on aggregate), the Czech Republic’s Internacional Slovnaft Bratislava (4 – 0 on aggregate), the Netherlands’ Fortuna Sittard (5 – 0 on aggregate), and finally German Giants Bayern Munich 3 – 1 on aggregate in the semi-finals. Everton have a number of club legends, including the aforementioned Howard Kendall. One such club legend was the forward Dixie Dean; he is their leading goal scorer in the league in their history with as many as 349, whilst also having the most FA Cup goals for the Toffees with 28 overall. Dean also has the record for the most goals in a season in all competitions for the Merseyside club with 60. Everton’s called Anfield their home until 1892, when they moved to Goodison Park, where they stayed until making the Hill Dickinson Stadium their new, and current, home in February 2025. It is the eighth largest stadium in England. Last season, 2025/26, saw Everton Football Club finish 13 th in the Premier League with 49 points from 38 games, ending up just 4 points adrift of European Football (8 th place). They got to the Third Round of the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, losing to Sunderland (1 – 1, 3 – 0 on penalties) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (2 – 0), respectively. They will be aiming for the top half or even European Football come the end of the ongoing 2026/27 season. In the opposition dugout – Dave Hughes Dave Hughes is currently Everton’s Under 21s Manager, as well as their Head of Academy Player Development, with his appointment having been announced by the club back on 8 th July 2026. The 2026/27 season is his first full campaign in charge of this Toffees side. His previous roles in management saw him take charge of the likes of Barry Town twice, from 2003 to 2004, and for another short period in the aforementioned 2004. He also managed another Welsh side, Newport County, for a few months in 2025. He has also held a variety of coaching roles with Port Talbot Town, Shrewsbury Town, Watford, Wales Under 17s, Wales Under 21s, Southampton, Cardiff City, and Manchester United. In his playing career that spanned 9 years between 1996 and 2005, Hughes played for the likes of Aston Villa (1996 - 1999), Carlisle United (Loan, 1998), Shrewsbury Town (1999 - 2001), Cardiff City (2001 - 2003), and finally Port Talbot Town (2005). He also got numerous caps for the Wales Under 21s (1996 - 2000) and for Wales B (1996 - 1999). Key Player – Braiden Graham The current key player for Everton’s Under 21s side is arguably their top goal scorer, Braiden Graham, who currently has 3 goals to his name in all competitions, as of the time of writing. The 18-year-old forward, who already has caps for Northern Ireland’s Under 16s, Under 17s, Under 18s, and Under 19s, joined Everton from Northern Irish team Linfield back on 2 nd July 2024. At the age of just 15 years and 137 days old, he came on for his professional debut, making his first senior appearance as a substitute in an NIFL Championship game against Dungannon Swifts, in what was an incredible 5 – 0 victory. He had beaten Charlie Allen’s previous club record for Linfield by just 19 days. Braiden Graham then scored his very first senior club goal in December 2023 at the age of just 16. He then scored the equalising goal against Larne when his side were 2 – 1 down in the Northern Ireland Football League Cup, before then scoring again in their subsequent victory in the penalty shootout. Introduction Solihull Moors travel to the Sussex Transport Community Stadium to face Worthing on Saturday, and the experts from Andy’s Bet Club are on hand to preview the game, as they will do for the 2026/27 season. Their site is packed with free football tips that are updated daily with expert insight. Match Preview Solihull Moors travel to Worthing after a 2-0 defeat to Halifax last time out in the league, but did edge Newcastle U21 2-1 in the National League Cup last time out. A goalless first half against Halifax eventually led to Solihull conceding two in the second half, with Cruz Allen and Tommy McDermott getting on the scoresheet. Worthing picked up a narrow 2-1 away at bottom-of-the-table Gateshead last time out. Jack Wadham and an own goal from Gateshead's Alex Lankshear proved the difference, with Worthing now up to 5th in the National League. Worthing Form Guide Last week’s result against Gateshead means it is now seven unbeaten in the league for Worthing, including four wins in their last five games. Worthing's win at Gateshead was built on defending, as they only edged the xG battle 1.29 to 1.29. They made 53 interceptions and 43 clearances, with Joe Cook in particular having an excellent game, winning 18 of his 21 duels and making 13 interceptions and 11 clearances. Worthing also pressed hard, and had a PPDA (passes per defensive action) of 7.6 overall and 5.1 after the break. Solihull Moors Form Guide Last Saturday, Solihull had seven shots, two of them on target, while Halifax Town had 19. Goalkeeper Max Metcalfe played a key role in keeping the scores level at half-time, making four saves in the first half. Going forward, Joe Sbarra and Jacob Wakeling had five and seven touches in the Halifax box respectively. Sbarra led the side with 0.34 xG. Despite the poor result, Solihull have won three of their last six in all competitions. Tactical Insight The midfield is where Solihull can take control of this game. Jack Wadham and Ricky Aguiar drive Worthing forward, so Scott High and Jamie Andrews will need to stop the supply. Against Halifax, Scott High completed 25 of his 27 passes and won five of his eight defensive duels. If Solihull can stop Worthing stringing passes together through the middle, they are in with a chance of coming away with something on Saturday. Conclusion Solihull will have their work cut out against one of the more in-form teams in the division on Saturday. That being said, their last away outing in the league saw them beat Woking 4-2, in a game where they soaked up pressure and made their chances count. Chris Millington will be eyeing his side to replicate such a performance, If you’ve enjoyed this match review, Andy’s Bet Club publishes expert predictions across football fixtures each week.
