Moors battle the elements to earn a point in Cornwall after Sbarra cancels out Stretton’s overhead kick. The tone for the first half was set early, with the strong wind playing a huge role and severely limiting Truro’s ability to get the ball forward, as long passes repeatedly held up and returned towards their own half. As a result, the hosts were largely in survival mode, unable to register a single effort on Laurie Walker’s goal. Despite the conditions, the Moors were also unable to truly capitalise. Debutant Tobi Sho-Silva found it difficult to get on the end of through balls, with the wind often carrying them away from his path. The best opportunity of the half fell to Isaac Moore, who did well to shift the ball past his defender on the edge of the box, but could only fire his effort wide of the target. The wind continued to influence proceedings after the break, this time working against the Moors as they struggled to clear their lines and relieve pressure. Truro’s persistence eventually paid off, with Jack Stretton producing a stunning overhead kick to break the deadlock and give the hosts the lead. The Moors responded well, with Joe Sbarra at the heart of the fightback alongside substitute Callum McFarlane, who returned from loan with a point to prove. Sbarra did brilliantly to win possession in midfield before calmly slotting past the goalkeeper to level the score in the 77th minute. From there, the game once again became a battle against the conditions, with the wind stifling any attacking momentum and preventing the Moors from launching meaningful counter-attacks, as the contest drifted towards its inevitable conclusion.

The ground is situated two and a half miles away from the station in a roughly north-easterly direction. Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of defender Daniel Cox, who joins the Club on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old arrives from Derby County and can operate across the back line, bringing strong defensive qualities as well as valuable experience at academy and international level. Cox has featured regularly for Derby County’s academy sides, making 20 appearances in the Premier League 2 across the last two seasons and captaining the side on several occasions. He has also featured for the club’s Under-21 side, continuing his development within the Rams’ pathway. The defender has also been involved with the Wales national under-19 football team, progressing through the age groups from Under-15 level and captaining the Under-19s on three occasions during last season’s UEFA Euro Under-19 qualifiers. Prior to his time at Derby, Cox has also spent time with Walsall and Wealdstone, gaining further experience within the professional game. Speaking on the signing, First Team Manager Chris Millington said: “Dan is a player whose progress we’ve monitored for some time. Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of forward Tobi Sho-Silva, who joins the Club on loan until the end of the season. The forward arrives from Kidderminster Harriers and brings a wealth of experience across both the National League and the EFL. During his career, Sho-Silva has featured in League Two for Sutton United and Carlisle United, as well as enjoying a successful spell with FC Halifax Town. Speaking on the signing, First Team Manager Chris Millington said: “Tobi is a great character and will bring energy and a physical presence to the front line. Halifax Town take all three points and push themselves into playoff places after a 3-0 victory over a ten-men Solihull Moors. Another National League fixture at Damson Park ends in defeat for Solihull Moors as Chris Millington faced his former club, Halifax Town. The Moors started the game off strong. Only eleven minutes into the game, Scott High had a chance to put Solihull ahead, which unfortunately took a deflection. Only a minute later High’s efforts, Halifax found the lead through the current top goalscorer at the club, Will Harris. The Moors tried to answer back five minutes later, as they hunted for an equaliser. Another attempt by High after a cross from Jamey Osbourne, but his efforts weren’t enough. Just before the break, Halifax increased their lead to two. The Moors hunted for a goal to get back into the game, and they came close after 62 minutes of play. Scott High produced a low driven shot from outside the box, but his effort was just wide. After 76 minutes of play, Solihull were reduced down to ten men after Scott High was shown a straight red card. Solihull continued to push for a crucial and much needed goal, but unfortunately nothing came of their efforts. However, Halifax didn’t stop applying the pressure and they found their third of the game in the 90 th minute. Chris Millington’s side will now turn their attention to Wednesday where they face bottom of the table, Truro City away.
