Match Report: Solihull Moors vs FC Halifax Town
Halifax Town take all three points and push themselves into playoff places after a 3-0 victory over a ten-men Solihull Moors.
Another National League fixture at Damson Park ends in defeat for Solihull Moors as Chris Millington faced his former club, Halifax Town.
The Moors started the game off strong. Only eleven minutes into the game, Scott High had a chance to put Solihull ahead, which unfortunately took a deflection.
Only a minute later High’s efforts, Halifax found the lead through the current top goalscorer at the club, Will Harris.
The Moors tried to answer back five minutes later, as they hunted for an equaliser. Another attempt by High after a cross from Jamey Osbourne, but his efforts weren’t enough.
Just before the break, Halifax increased their lead to two.
The Moors hunted for a goal to get back into the game, and they came close after 62 minutes of play. Scott High produced a low driven shot from outside the box, but his effort was just wide.
After 76 minutes of play, Solihull were reduced down to ten men after Scott High was shown a straight red card.
Solihull continued to push for a crucial and much needed goal, but unfortunately nothing came of their efforts.
However, Halifax didn’t stop applying the pressure and they found their third of the game in the 90th minute.
Chris Millington’s side will now turn their attention to Wednesday where they face bottom of the table, Truro City away.
