Match Report - Solihull Moors vs Gateshead
Visitors, Gateshead, take home all three points as Solihull Moors face another defeat at Damson Park.
Solihull Moors opened the game with a goal from Darius Lipsiuc in the 6th minute, who produced a great right footed finish as former Gateshead player, Ben Worman grabbed the assist.
The visitors replied in the 35th minute, as they found an equaliser through William Chapman, meaning The Moors entered the break level after leading the game.
There was a lull in play as both teams searched for a goal to put them ahead, The Moors came close in the 55th minute after a corner which allowed Whitmore to have a great effort on target, however, Gateshead keeper, Desbois made a great save to end The Moors’ hopes.
Moors had another opportunity to put them ahead, this time through a penalty after a handball by a Gateshead player. Unfortunately for The Moors, Wilkinson sent the ball over the bar.
Gateshead responded three minutes later as Ben Radcliffe found the winner for the visitors.
Last minutes of the game and Gateshead had an opportunity to extend their lead, luckily for The Moors, Laurie Walker produced a great save to deny Gateshead of a third.
Solihull travel to Wealdstone on Saturday, the 14th of March, for their next National League fixture.
