Solihull Moors slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Daggers newest signing Inah Effiong bagged a double for the hosts to earn them all three points.
Bartosz Cybulski grabbed a goal to equalise before half-time, but it wasn't to any avail as the hosts prevailed in the second period.
Neal Ardley made three changes from the side that beat York City 3-2 in midweek.
Match-winner Mark Beck was dropped to the bench along with Ryan Barnett, whilst Mitch Roberts missed out through injury.
Jevon Mills replaced Roberts for his debut, whereas Jamey Osborne and Bartosz Cybulski came in for the former two.
Again, it was Moors who began on the front-foot with Andrew Dallas and Cybulski looking lively as a front two; it was the latter who had the first chance of the contest on seven minutes when he turned wide a low Ben Coker cross.
The Moors full-back was getting plenty of room down the left, and he was again involved when James Clarke nodded another one of his crosses just over, a short while later.
Daggers came into the contest around the 20-minute mark; firstly, Junior Morais had a low effort that went straight down the throat of Ryan Boot, before Inih Effiong blasted an effort from range just wide, a couple of minutes later.
It appeared the hosts had weathered the early Moors storm and in the 36th minute an old enemy came back to haunt them with a terrific effort. After his initial free-kick was blocked by the wall, Effiong pounced on the loose ball and hit a fiercely struck effort into the bottom left corner for 1-0.
However, falling behind didn't deter Moors as just six minutes later they were back level. Dallas tricked his way to the by-line and drilled a cross into the middle, it definitely took a touch, but whether it hit Cybulski or a defender, the ball made its way into the top corner.
Half-time: Dagenham & Redbridge 1-1 Solihull Moors
It was a scrappy beginning to the second half with neither side showing much for their efforts; unfortunately, for Moors, Coker was forced off through injury and replaced by Justin Donawa.
Again, though it was Effiong who was causing problems for the hosts, and it was he who restored the Daggers lead. The Moors defence stood off for a split-second and the striker let fly from 25 yards finding the top corner of Boot's goal.
Daryl McMahon's side continued to push for a killer third and almost got it through Morais. He cut in from the right and fired an effort towards goal, however, Boot was equal to tip it over.
As time ticked on, Moors pushed for an equaliser, but they couldn't find it, Mills going closest in stoppage time as he volleyed over from the edge of the area.
