Moors Women cruised into the First Round of the Vitality Women's FA Cup with a 7-0 demolition job on Arnold Eagles.
Mark Blaymires' side came into the match as clear favourites against their lower-league opponents, and that was clear to see from the off.
Braces from each of Becky Knight, Zoe Creaney and Lyndsey Ross-Baker, and a further goal from Cheyanne Jarvis, ensured Moors progress to the competition proper with Round One taking place in November.
Blaymires made several changes to his Moors side that recovered to draw 2-2 to Leafield Athletic last time out.
The game began in a rather even fashion with both sides making early incursions into each other's halves. Eagles managed to carve out several half chances from set pieces, but it was Moors who took the lead on six minutes, when a neat through ball found Jarvis on the edge of the area who lobbed the ball over the opposition goalkeeper and made sure from close range.
That gave the hosts a platform to build on and they took the game by the scruff of the neck from that point on. With sixteen minutes on the clock, Knight doubled the lead after good work by Eva Rogers down the flank, lashing the ball home from inside the area.
Despite being on top it wasn't plain sailing for the Moors, Harley Savage was called into action in the home goal when the Eagles striker pounced on a short back pass and went through on goal, but Savage saved well.
It was a miserable afternoon at the Davisons Law Community Arena but that never dampened the Moors spirits, and they increased their advantage further just before the break. Ross-Baker coolly slotted home a one-on-one to put the First Round within sight.
Half-Time: Solihull Moors Women 3-0 Arnold Eagles Ladies
Blaymires made several changes and asked for more energy and composure in front of goal in his half-time team talk. Just five minutes in he was duly rewarded when captain Creaney pounced on a loose ball and beat the 'keeper from just inside the box.
The game was already out of sight, before Knight made it five shortly after, adding to her personal tally with a calm finish.
Zoe Creaney then scored arguably the goal of the game. From a sliced goal kick, Annie Highway made ground down the right and found Eva Rogers who saw her shot well saved by the 'keeper, only for the rebound to land at the feet of Creaney who shot into the top corner to make it six.
Moors were rampant for the rest of the half, but a series of squandered chances kept the score down, it was Ross-Baker that eventually rounded off the scoring when she slipped her marker and slotted past a stranded Eagles 'keeper.
Blaymires was pleased with his side's efforts who now face local club Sedgley and Gornal United in the First round proper.
