Ryan Nesbitt is the latest man to be added to the Solihull Moors ranks after he put pen-to-paper on an 18-month contract with the Club.
The Sutton Coldfield Town striker will be immediately loaned back to the Royals for the remainder of the current season, where he has netted 17 times in the Evo-Stik Southern League Central this campaign.
After scoring regularly for Neil Tooth’s side and impressing in training with the Moors, the Club see Nesbitt as one for the future.
The 20-year-old has previous experience with Hednesford Town, Boldmere St. Michaels and Chasetown where he also scored a hatful of goals.
Manager Tim Flowers said: “Ryan got brought to our attention last season by Boldmere when we trained on their facility. He’d been scoring a lot of goals for their first team, joined in training with us and acquitted himself very well.
“He’s got a terrific goal scoring record and a great strike on him.
“We’re now 10 months down the line and he’s grown a bit and been away at Sutton Coldfield Town. He’s been scoring heavily and he’s been in training with us.
“He ticks a lot of boxes for us. We’ve got a here and now, but we’ve got a tomorrow as well.
“We’ve got to plan for what sort of players we’re going to have at the Club in years to come and who’s going to excite the supporters.
“He’s one that we’ve decided we think has got a chance of being able to have a career.
“It’s up to him now. He’s got to work hard, he’s got to train properly and with the technical ability he’s got, we think he’s got a chance.”
Nesbitt has been allocated the number 22 shirt at the Moors.
