We are delighted to reveal our 23/24 Community Captain, Ashley Francis-Sterling.

Ash has been one of our Foundation coaches for three years now and during his time he has shown nothing but a passion to improve the lives and experiences of not only the young people in his team but the young people across our organisation.

Ash has a wealth of experience in youth development when he approached us wanting to do more, we asked him to

come on board as our Player Support Officer.

Ash worked in his spare time, around his family, job and the two teams he is involved

with to work with our existing safeguarding team and welfare officers to develop his

knowledge of football specific support and also completed his Welfare Officers course

in order to best prepare for his new role.

Ash has been our PSO for 5 months now and has really sunk his teeth into the position,

becoming a regular at training sessions, hosting drop ins and being a regular line of

support for not only the players, but for parents and coaches too.

Ash is a credit to himself and the people around him and we’re delighted that he is working with us to improve the experience and support for everyone connected with Solihull Moors Foundation.
