Solihull Moors chairman, Darryl Eales, has penned the following message to the supporters.

Dear all,

After a challenging couple of days, I wanted to write to all supporters to thank each and everyone for their fantastic support, both at Wembley and throughout the season.

To come so close is heartbreaking but this should not detract from a wonderful season which has created so many memories and new friendships.

Your messages of personal support are truly appreciated and make me even more determined to do everything I can to enable us to help us take that extra step and reach the football league.

Events over the past month have reinforced what a wonderful community club we are, with everyone - fans, staff, players and our brilliant foundation - coming together and truly demonstrating the real contribution grass roots football can bring to local people’s lives.

Hopefully, there will be a halo effect from the Wembley appearances and more families will come and support the team next season.

The work starts now to plan pre-season and the league campaign and I would urge everyone to spread the Moors word.

I wish everyone a relaxing and recuperative Summer and look forward to seeing everyone again for preseason in July.

Best wishes,
