Moors are delighted to announce the return of Ryan Barnett, who has agreed to sign for the club on a permanent basis from July 1st.
The 21-year-old has penned a two-year deal until May 2023 following his departure from Shrewsbury Town last month.
The exciting young winger enjoyed a short loan spell with the Moors last season, which was unfortunately cut short due to an eye injury.
Barnett made five appearances and scored one goal, a composed long-range strike in the 3-0 home victory over Wealdstone.
He becomes Neal Ardley’s first signing as Moors boss and Barnett had this to say on his return to the club:
“As soon as I heard the interest of Solihull and spoke to everyone here, I felt the love of the club for me and wanting me to come back.
“I always think about how much I enjoyed my time here, although it was only five games. Everyone kept in touch and asked about how the injury was.
“I just think this club has got such big ambitions, especially with the new manager. It’s something I really want to buy into and give my all to.”
Manager Neal Ardley added:
"Ryan is a player that impressed everyone at the club during his short stay last season.
"He will bring width, pace and a one v one ability to the team - we are delighted to have fought off other clubs for his signature."
Welcome back, Barney!
