Last weekend we cycled for 24 hours visiting all 24 Vanarama National League clubs in Touchwood Shopping centre, measuring to a total distance of 800 miles!
We absolutely smashed our target ensuring all six bikes continuously span.
We had over 66 participants aged between 16 -60 years take part in our cycle from people working in local businesses across Solihull to half-term shoppers!
The likes of Stephen Ward, Andy Whing and Moors skipper Jamey Osborne all showcased their support with Wardy and Whingy even jumping on the bikes on Friday afternoon for an hour before Solihull Moors’ away match against Rochdale.
We have almost raised £3000 of our £5000 target, and we need you to help us get closer to our target to ensure that we can continue providing care and support across the Borough of Solihull and wider areas.
I’d like to say a massive thank you to those who came along took part, supported and donated to our cause. We could not have done it without you.
The event has been more than just raising funds. It has been about raising awareness and sharing both the Moors Foundation and the Football Club to the Solihull community who may not know we exist!
Monies raised from this event will go towards our SEND youth club offer, where we see young people with additional needs meeting weekly access mental health support, independent living opportunities, sports and recreation and socialise with their peers.
We will be dotted around the ARMCO Arena with buckets for any further donations supporters of the Football Club may wish to make and help us reach our goal which we’re so close to hitting!
