Solihull Moors are pleased to announce that Justin Donawa has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

The 26-year-old’s previous deal at the ARMCO Arena expired following the conclusion of last season but he will now remain with Moors for 2022/23.

Donawa was unfortunate to miss the second half of last season with a fractured fibula he suffered at Eastleigh in December 2021.

Up to that point, the Bermudian had made 16 appearances for Neal Ardley’s side in all competitions, scoring two goals after making a strong start to the campaign.

The versatile wideman has been working hard to come back from injury over the last six months and will now enter his third season at the club.

On extending his stay, Donawa said: “I’m pleased to get it done. You can see what this group is capable of, unfortunately coming up just a touch short of our goal of getting promoted.

“I think with this core group and another few additions, we’ll be a force to be reckoned with so I’m looking forward to getting going.

“I dealt with the injury the best I could and now it’s time to continue building my fitness and working my way back into the group, which I’m looking forward to.

“I’m very thankful to everyone involved at the club for keeping me on board and believing in what I can do on the pitch.”

Manager Neal Ardley added: “Justin was just hitting his stride last season when he unfortunately broke his leg.

“He is a great lad who the players love. We feel there’s lots of untapped potential waiting to be unlocked once he’s completely over his injury and back to his explosive best.”
