Solihull Moors is pleased to confirm the season-long loan signing of James Gale from Mansfield Town.

Forward James Gale has put pen-to-paper on a season-long loan move with Andy Whing’s side as we look to bolster our attacking options for the upcoming campaign.

The 22-year-old recently signed a new two-year deal with the Stags following their promotion to Sky Bet League One.

The forward was at Derby County’s academy before his release where he then starred for Long Eaton United which subsequently led to his move to Mansfield in 2021.

Gale made his debut in the EFL Trophy for the Stags in a 6-3 win over Newcastle United. The frontman then scored his first goal for the Club against Manchester City U21s.

Director of Football, Stephen Ward, said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to secure James’ talent on a season-long loan! He played a part in Mansfield’s promotion to League One and will fit into the group nicely.”

“To get someone of his ability for us is great and we can’t wait to see his work on the pitch this season.”

Welcome to Solihull, James!
