Solihull Moors are pleased to announce the loan signing of Shrewsbury Town attacker Ryan Barnett.
The 21-year-old becomes Mark Yates’ first addition back at the club and Barnett arrives on a short-term loan until April 14th.
The wideman has previous experience of the National League having enjoyed spells in the North with Telford United and Gloucester City - Barnett netted twice in four appearances for Gloucester before their season was suspended last month.
He joined the Shrewsbury Town youth system in 2007 and received his first call up to the first-team in December 2016.
Barnett has made 12 appearances in all competitions for the Shrews this season, scoring two goals in the Football League Trophy.
On his move to the Moors, Barnett said: “I heard about the interest towards the back end of last week and as soon as I got the call off the manager, it was definitely a club I wanted to go to.
“I’m a winger, I’ve got a bit of pace about me and like to create chances – hopefully I can excite the fans.
“I need that run of games to prove myself as a player. I come here fit, ready to go and I’ll give my best performances.”
Manager Mark Yates added: “I’m delighted we’ve got Ryan on board, he's a player I’ve liked for the last year or so.
“He’s got pace, energy, a great delivery and he’s something a little bit different to what I felt was here at the moment.”
Barnett is eligible for Saturday’s trip to Bromley and will wear the squad number 28 during his time with the Moors.
