Solihull Moors is pleased to confirm the signing of Oliver Tipton from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent deal!

The 20-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Andy Whing’s side.

Tipton made his debut in senior football against Crewe Alexandra in the EFL Trophy for Notts County, whilst also playing a number of times in Notts’ return to England’s fourth division.

The youngster has also featured heavily across the Wolves youth ranks, racking up plenty of Premier League 2 experiences whilst also being captain of the under-21s.

The versatile defender joined the youth ranks at Wolves at just 11-years-old.

Upon his arrival, Tipton said: “I’m absolutely buzzing! I couldn’t wait to get here and I’m happy to be here and already looking forward to the season.”

“I’ve met Stephen (Ward), we had a lot of conversations, it’s gone well, we’re talking about how we want to play this year and what we want to achieve, the style of football and it suits me.”

Tipton refereed to last season and hopes as a collective for the upcoming campaign: “It’s always in everyone’s minds, it’s one step at a time and we’ll take each game as it comes.”

Director of Football, Stephen Ward, added: “Olly is a player we have monitored for quite some time now."

"He was very highly thought of during his time at Wolves and we are very pleased to secure his signature for the upcoming season."

"His versatility and ability on the ball fits the ethos and playing style that we try to adopt."

"We are really looking forward to working with him and watching him develop even more."

Welcome to Solihull, Olly!
