Form

The Daggers halted a three-game losing run on Tuesday, beating Eastleigh 2-0 at the Chigwell Construction Stadium – they are placed in 16th, two points below the Moors.

Solihull are enjoying an unbeaten run, with the team winning four of their last five matches. Those 13 points from 15 see Mark Yates’ side up to 13th on 42 points.

In the Opposite Dugout – Daryl McMahon

Daryl became Daggers gaffer in January 2020 after the departure of Peter Taylor. McMahon took charge after leaving Macclesfield Town, a club in serious financial strife.

The new manager’s first task was to assure National League safety, before looking higher up the table, and pushing on for a play-off push in the 2020/21 season.

One To Watch – Angelo Balanta

Angelo joined the Daggers for an undisclosed fee towards the end of September 2018 from National League rivals Boreham Wood. The Columbian-born forward started his career in the QPR youth system, where he went onto extending a stay with the Hoops until 2014.

In that time Angelo went on loan at several Football League clubs including Wycombe, where he worked with Peter Taylor, MK Dons and Yeovil Town. After leaving the Championship outfit in 2014, the 30-year-old spent a year with Bristol Rovers, where he made 18 appearances over the season with the Pirates.

In the summer of 2015, Balanta moved from Bristol to Carlisle on a free transfer, where he would spend another year, before a move to his former club, Boreham Wood. Angelo was with The Wood for two seasons before joining the Daggers, he made 92 appearances for the club, scoring 21 and assisting 12.

This season, Balanta has scored seven National League goals and scooped the Player of the Month award for March.

Last Time Out

Paul McCallum scored the only goal of the game as the Daggers took all three points at the SportNation.bet Stadium last month.

Team News

The Moors will again be without Jamie Ward (knee), but Reiss McNally (wrist) is available for selection despite requiring surgery after which will keep him out for two-three weeks.

Winger Ryan Barnett has returned to parent club Shrewsbury Town following the expiry of his short-term loan with the Moors. We wish Ryan all the best as he continues to recover from an eye injury.

Football & Education goalkeeper Tom Allsopp has been allocated the first-team squad number 28 ahead of Saturday's game.

Longer-term absentees Jamey Osborne, Callum Howe, Alex Gudger, Kyle Howkins, Stephen Gleeson and Nathan Cameron remain unavailable.
