Six Weeks and Counting!!

That's right! The Moors 4's is only six weeks away, that's 42 days, not long at all - quite scary in fact but fear not, we have you covered.

As a little extra motivation, we thought now was the perfect time to step the training up a gear and launch the first in a series called 'Fitness Friday'.

Each week, a player or member of staff will be taking on the challenge of inspiring all you lovely lot to keep pushing, as the big event draws ever closer!

Up first, is first-team striker and Solihull Moors Foundation trustee Adam Rooney, demonstrating that Moors 4's really is for everyone.

Rooney has come up with some great little exercises to help get the kids involved, ably demonstrated by sons Ezra and Levi.

Take a look HERE to see some of the cracking suggestions that he has in store to ensure kids don't feel left out.

So, now it's time to get your little ones involved, if you come up with a similar routine, record them doing it and send it to us!

The more people share their training videos, the more motivated others become as they realise, they're not the only ones running at silly o'clock in the morning!

But if Coach Roons didn't give you the inspiration you needed, then our next person should do the trick.

The Accolades Keep Coming!

A couple of weeks ago, Paul Cobb was named Hero of the Week and it clearly didn't go unnoticed, as he was crowned the league's Volunteer of the Month on Monday.

Paul was recognised by the club for his tireless efforts in working with the Moors over 45's and for his all-round generosity in helping people.

The Moors volunteer who regularly works with food banks to ensure those in the community don't go without, was shocked to receive the award.

“I’m amazed and it’s absolutely fantastic. I can’t thank the Moors enough and especially Ant and Claire Hasker.

“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for those two and the lads who play football with me on a Monday night – the over 35’s and over 45’s. It’s going really well, so happy days!”

Head of Youth & Junior, Ant Hasker, added: “Paul has gradually grown into a true ‘Solihull Moors person’ in the last three years.

“He is a genuinely nice guy who prides himself on helping others, and especially to those who are less fortunate. He is a constant charity champion and is a total asset to Solihull Moors Football Club.”

Congratulations Paul, you deserve it!!

A Round of Applause for Amador!

That brings us nicely onto the man highlighted as The Foundation's Hero of the Week, Amador Cambra, the Matchday Fixtures Secretary at Solihull Moors Women.

Amador is, without doubt, the unsung hero for the Women’s Team.

In fact, if it was not for Amador, we would not have a women's side, it's as simple as that. His dedication to this area of the club is second to none.

A few years previous, he not only made personal sacrifices in terms of the effort and time to keep the side going, but he also financed it out of his own pockets.

An incredible show of support and one that all of us at the club are thankful for and fully appreciate.

And we also appreciate all of those signed up to take part in The Moors 4's, those wonderful souls who like Amador, are prepared to give their all for the Foundation!

We have a total of 146 fundraisers, a great number but we still want more, so if you're currently doing it on your own, why not involve your friend, neighbour or relative!?

Spread the message, shout about The Moors 4's. Because after all, Together We Are Stronger.
