Solihull Moors are saddened to hear the news that former player Dale Anderson has passed away at the age of 44.
Dale had played a pivotal role in helping Burton Albion secure promotion from the Northern Premier League to the Nationwide Conference and even played in their two FA Cup games against Manchester United in 2006. A few months later, Dale joined Moor Green. Initially it was on loan until the end of the season, before becoming permanent in the summer.
Dale was a member of the first ever Solihull Moors squad in 2007 and would leave the following summer.
Due to suffering with a number of injuries during his time with the Moors, Dale did not achieve the same success as he had enjoyed with Burton, but his highlight would have been scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 home win over Tamworth in March 2008.
Our thoughts go out to Dale's friends, family and loved ones.
Rest In Peace Dale.
