Solihull Moors is pleased to confirm the arrival of Jacob Pinnington on a season-long loan deal from Luton Town following an impressive trial period.

Otherwise known as ‘Trialist A’ to the Moors faithful, the 19-year-old defender had an impressive trial period under the watchful eye of Andy Whing before securing a loan deal at Damson Park for the upcoming campaign.

Prior to his arrival at Solihull, Pinnington helped step-three side AFC Sudbury avoid relegation on the final day of the season to remain in the Southern Premier Central Division.

The youngster joined the Hatters’ youth ranks at 15-years-old before captaining his Under-18s side to the EFL Youth Alliance South East title, whilst also reaching the FA Youth Cup Fifth Round before making his step into senior football with AFC Sudbury.

Upon signing for Solihull, the defender said: “I’m buzzing – I came in last week and played a few games with the lads, the group are class and I just want to play as many games as possible and do my best for the team.”

“Hopefully we can push for promotion and the ambitions that the club are striving towards, I want to do my best in terms of helping the team get there.”

Head Coach Andy Whing added: “Wardy (Stephen Ward) has a good connection with their manager – we had him in for a couple of weeks. He’s a fantastic lad who wants to learn and improve, he’s done really well for us.”

Welcome to Solihull, Pinno!
