Job Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to provide maintenance and Grounds team support across the Club Facilities. The role will include general maintenance and grounds duties around the club to support the day-to-day operations, including basic Painting, Cellar skills, Hedge trimming, strimming, leaf blowing and litter picking and other duties reasonably required. The role will also include routine weekly checks around the stadium as advised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing fast efficient service to internal stake holders.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Assisting with ordering materials, and carrying out works.
  • Ensuring stocks of all work equipment to maximise efficiency
  • Complete documentation in the health and safety online portal, in line with Club processes and procedures
  • Comply at all times with the Club H&S procedures and process
  • Adhere to Club purchasing procedures at all times. Working alongside the Operations Team for Purchasing procedures.
  • Working with stakeholders in the Club in relation to maintenance and grounds requirements.
  • Opening up areas of the building in the morning and if required locking up areas of the building before closing.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of the stadium access control system to support operational requirements.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of the stadium lighting system to support operational requirements.
  • Assisting the team with Match Day set up of the hospitality suite when required.
  • Determine with the Operations Director the most cost-effective way to carry out maintenance.
  • Complete audits of the Facilities to determine planned future works.
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant Club policies, including health and safety policies.
  • To build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally, always maintaining a professional image when representing Solihull Moors Football Club.
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which your manager or another senior officer of the Club asks you to perform.

  • Experience in both small and large-scale building sites
  • Management and customer responsibility experience

Training, Skills and Knowledge

  • Skilled with a variety of hand tools required for all phases of general building construction
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to gain future trade certification(s) to match job responsibilities
