Moors undone after red card as Boston capitalise in the second half following temporary suspension. Both sides appeared evenly matched in the opening half, though Boston carved out the better opportunities, going closest when they struck the side netting after 23 minutes. The Moors struggled to turn promising moments into clear chances, with Jamey Osborne’s mazy runs ultimately leading to little end product. The half was frequently disrupted by fouls and time-wasting from the visitors, preventing either side from building sustained momentum. With just minutes remaining before the break, Joe Sbarra came closest to breaking the deadlock after Osborne was played in down the left, but he was unable to get on the end of the delivery. A triple change at half-time saw Conor Wilkinson, Jacob Wakeling and Daniel Cox introduced in place of Ben Worman, Emmanuel Sonupe and Callum McFarlane. The substitutions had an immediate impact, injecting energy into the Moors’ attacking play, with Wakeling going close ten minutes after the restart, forcing the Boston goalkeeper into a low, stretched save from distance. However, the game took a dramatic turn when Wilkinson was shown a straight red card following an exchange with the referee, leading to a 15-minute suspension as the situation was dealt with in the tunnel. Boston capitalised shortly after the restart, taking the lead when Lewis Baines inadvertently turned a cross into his own net while attempting to prevent Hazel from converting. The visitors doubled their advantage soon after, with Hazel doing well to hold up the ball inside the box before swivelling and firing into the top corner. Boston thought they had added a third in the 86th minute when Maguire found the net, but the effort was ruled out for offside after the celebrations. It only delayed the inevitable, as Maguire struck again minutes later to seal the result and put the game beyond doubt.

Solihull Moors can confirm that defender Alex Whitmore will leave the Club at the end of the season. Tomorrow’s fixture at Damson Park will mark Whitmore’s final home game for the Club, bringing to an end a spell in which he has become a hugely important figure both on and off the pitch. An ever-present throughout this season, Whitmore has played a key role in the heart of the Moors' defence and has been a consistent presence in the side. His leadership, commitment and professionalism have made him a popular figure amongst teammates, staff and supporters alike. Off the pitch, Whitmore’s character and personality have been just as important as his performances and his presence around the Club will be a huge loss when he departs at the end of the campaign. Speaking on his departure, Whitmore said: "Leaving is not a decision I have taken lightly. This football club has become a real home for me and my family and I have nothing but positive memories from my time here. The people associated with this place, the fans, the staff and the players are what has made my time so enjoyable. I’d go as far as to say that this football Club is the most at home I've felt during my career. I would like to say a special thank you to the Chairman, who has looked after me at every opportunity and also to the gaffer, for the very same reason. Two gentlemen of the highest order and Solihull fans should be proud that they have them at this football Club. I will be watching on as a huge fan in the future and I wish nothing but the very best for the Club and everyone attached to it." We identified early on his importance to the team and the culture of the Club and moved to try and secure his signature with a new deal. It was an incredibly difficult decision for Whits as his personal circumstances dictate he could not sign. It took until the fourth minute of stoppage time for Wealdstone to find an equaliser, but it was the least they deserved when you look at the game's statistics. Wealdstone had 13 shots in the game, with 4 of those being on target, and they created an xG (expected goals) of 1.68. In comparison, Boston had just six shots with three on target, and they posted 1.35 xG. Wealdstone also dominated the ball with 69% possession. This dominance was largely down to the styles and passing accuracy of both sides.
