Solihull Moors kick off their 2019/20 campaign with a trip to face Harrogate Town at the CNG Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Here’s your full match preview…
Both clubs reached the end of season play-offs last season and will be looking to go one better this time around.
The Moors finished runners-up behind champions Leyton Orient, while Harrogate were sixth in their first National League campaign.
In the Opposite Dugout
Having passed the ten-year milestone in May 2019, Simon Weaver is one of English football’s longest serving managers.
In 2015/16 Weaver guided Town to a club high finish of fourth in the National League North and helped the club reach the FA Cup 2nd Round in 2012/13.
The 2017/18 season saw Weaver achieve promotion with Town, beating Brackley in the Play-Off Final in front of 3000 supporters at The CNG Stadium.
After featuring for the likes of Doncaster Rovers, Kidderminster and Scarborough in his days as a centre half, Weaver now has Town looking to reach the Football League for the first time after finishing in the play-offs last season.
Opposition Key Man
Jack Muldoon joined Harrogate Town in June 2018 after the expiry of his contract at AFC Fylde.
The forward arrived at The CNG Stadium with plenty of National League experience having turned out for both Fylde and Lincoln.
Muldoon enjoyed success at both clubs including promotion to the Football League with The Imps and scoring The Coasters Goal of the Season against Macclesfield during 2017/18.
Muldoon hit the ground running at his new club, finishing the 2018/19 season as his new club's top scorer with 18 goals.
The pre-match view from Danny Wright
“We’re looking strong, we’re looking very good. Pre-season’s been a good few weeks for us and we’ve performed well throughout.
“A couple of players have moved on and some new signings have come in. Most clubs make change every year and I feel like we’re going into this season strong.
“I don’t see any reason why we can’t go one better this year. Everyone is doing everything we can to make sure that happens."
