Solihull Moors welcome Aldershot Town to the SportNation.bet Stadium on Saturday in the Vanarama National League, after picking up their first win of the season in emphatic fashion on Tuesday night against Torquay United.
Goals from Jamey Osborne (2) and Terry Hawkridge gave Tim Flowers’ side a resounding 3-0 win over The Gulls, and they will be hoping to carry that momentum into Saturday’s match against The Shots.

As mentioned previously, the Moors will be carrying plenty of momentum into the weekend’s game against Town.
Having made their way through pre-season with some decent results against much bigger opposition, they’ve made an unbeaten start to the league season over two games.
A topsy-turvy 2-2 draw at Harrogate Town last weekend was followed up by that 3-0 success over Torquay.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s visitors have split their first two outings. A 2-1 home defeat to last season’s play-off finalists, AFC Fylde, was followed up by a 1-0 win at Woking on Tuesday night.
In the Opposite Dugout
Aldershot Town manager, Danny Searle, joined the Shots in May after spending the second half of last season in charge at Braintree Town where, despite relegation, he picked up a number of impressive results.
The 41-year old has previous coaching experience at clubs such as Chelsea, Charlton Athletic, Southend United and West Ham United.
Opposition Key Man – Connor Shields
Liam Daly and co. will have to be on their toes on Saturday if they’re to keep out Connor Shields. The Aldershot striker is the undisputed focal point of the Shots’ attacking play, and has already got himself up and running this season with a goal on opening day against AFC Fylde.
The 22-year-old, who was on the books at Sunderland last season, will need to be in red-hot form this weekend against a team that has also proved to be in fine fettle in front of goal so far in the 2019/20 campaign.
The last time the two sides met – Aldershot Town 0-3 Solihull Moors (12th February 2019)
Nathan Blissett scored a hat-trick as Solihull Moors climbed to the top of the National League with a 3-0 win at the EBB Stadium.
Blissett netted after 34 minutes and then added a second with 17 minutes to go, before heading a third in stoppage time.
That sent the Moors top, while the hosts remained in the bottom four and five points adrift of safety.
A quote from the Gaffer
Tim Flowers: "To get a result against Aldershot, we'll need a performance. They're a good side, they had a reprieve from last year and have strengthened heavily in the summer.
"They've got a new manager, a lot of new faces coming in the building and they had a real tough opener against Fylde but they've gone and got a win on the road on Tuesday.
"They'll come here with confidence and it's going to be a tough examination of ourselves."
