BiographySolihull Moors fought off major competition to land the signing of striker Paul McCallum in the summer. The 26-year-old joined the Club on a two-year deal after enjoying a prolific season with Eastleigh in the Vanarama National League, netting 27 times on their way to the play-off semi-finals.
He began his career at Dulwich Hamlet where a prolific goalscoring record earned him a move to West Ham United. Despite failing to make a first-team appearance for the Hammers, the forward gained valuable experience on loan at Rochdale, AFC Wimbledon, Aldershot, Torquay, Hearts and Portsmouth.
Following his release from West Ham, two years at Leyton Orient followed where McCallum scored 15 times in 43 appearances for the O’s.
Eight goals in his first season at Eastleigh was followed up by a memorable second season during which the Spitfires finished seventh and narrowly missed out a Promotion Final spot at Wembley, as they lost to Salford City on penalties.
