Manager David Healey previews Sunday's game...
This week we welcome Doncaster Belles to Studley Sports Centre for the last game before we move to our new home at the Moors stadium.
It's an absolute honour to be able to host Zoe Shaw's Doncaster Belles in what is the arguably the biggest game in our club’s history. Doncaster Belles are one of women's footballs most famous and decorated clubs, with six FA Cup titles to their name. It just shows the wealth of talent and the competitive nature of the National League and we as a club a very proud to be a part of it.
There has been a great buzz around the team this week in training, and the girls can't wait to play and compete with a side of this stature. We've had a difficult start to the season, playing two very talented sides but this has helped our new squad gel quickly and allowed them to understand the level of performance needed on a weekly basis. We had seven players under the age of 20 starting for us on Sunday, so it'll be exciting to watch these talented young ladies progress throughout the season.
Another difficult test this week shows that there are no easy games in the National League, and I expect us to start reaching our top performance levels this Sunday as we enter a very important run of fixtures.
