The Player, The Person

Moors' Elite Academy combines football and education to provide a pathway for students to grow as both a person and a player.

The Academy is aimed at 16-19-year-olds and will see learners combine academic studies with football development. All learners receive technical coaching, strength and conditioning and access to sports therapy and physiotherapy.

It caters for learners of all abilities, ensuring progressive pathways for all those enrolled on the programme.

Moors will be teaming up with a top-quality education provider. They will work closely with Moors to achieve the highest standard of delivery for all learners.

By placing the learner at the centre of everything, they will aspire to motivate them, build their confidence and inspire their dreams.

This will lead to solid foundations for a strong and vibrant local community through this education partnership.

The Elite Academy at Solihull Moors is designed to facilitate the journey of young, aspiring local footballers, allowing for the progression from the Elite Academy to the Young Proffesional Programme and the first team.

Coaching will be provided by UEFA qualified coaches to ensure all players are receiving the very best development opportunities. The programme will also offer position-specific programmes for players to truly understand their roles and responsibilities.

An analysis team will also support the work of the players and coaches, using specialist software to ensure feedback and reflection is carried out to support personal development. The programme is further enhanced by medical care to support injury prevention, rehabilitation, and facilitate a return to action for injured players.

We aim to provide young footballers with the opportunity to access fantastic facilities and coaching to help them achieve their potential.

This full-time Football & Education programme will be run from Studley Sports Centre, where the Solihull Moors first team train.

The state of the art facilities at Studley which includes a gym, artificial pitches and classroom are specifically for the use of the Elite Academy which will allow for maximum development both on and off the pitch.

The young footballers will have access to the on-site medical suite when struggling with injuries or whilst going through rehab.

The 3G pitch has a covered stand, meaning that parents can watch matches from the sidelines under cover as the young footballers look to progress through our Elite Academy system.

The Elite Academy at Solihull Moors is the next piece of the jigsaw in our evolving and progressive football club. The integration of the Academy will help bridge the gap between youth football and the first team.

The aim is to become the leading club for youth development in the Midlands, supplementing the first team with local players and provide supporters with a team that is truly representative of our beloved local community.

This pathway will see young talent given the opportunity to not only develop their football ability but achieve academic success. At Solihull Moors, we pride ourselves on our community involvement and we believe it is our duty to support young people with a route to be successful both on and off the football pitch.

The Elite Academy will ensure all players are provided with the opportunity to either earn a professional contract, attend university or enter employment.

The dream would be to have a team of local players within half an hour of the stadium, representing the football club and the community."
