After scoring four goals in the last five games, inform Conor Wilkinson said “I think I’ve had a bit of a tough season. I think I’ve started 13 games this season, which is obviously nowhere near good enough, but the return is obviously what I’ve been trying to get to and long may it continue hopefully. “We’re a bit disheartened to not get all three points on Saturday against Scunthorpe and the results haven’t really gone our way previously. It’s been tough the conditions we’ve played in. “I think we’re just waiting to get that win again and start another winning ride and hopefully push ourselves back up the table. “I think a win this weekend would be massive. We know we need to get back to winning ways if we do want to achieve anything this season, it’s on our minds and we are looking to do that. “We go to away places, and they have their fans and we’re the same. When we’re playing at home it does help to have a home advantage and always helps the team. Hopefully if our fans can be noisy and get behind us it’s a 12-man feeling.”
Solihull Moors Football Club can confirm that Szhem Whyte-Hall has joined Worksop Town on a permanent transfer. The young forward departs the Moors in search of regular first-team opportunities, with the move providing an excellent platform for him to continue his development and gain valuable senior experience. Solihull Moors travel to Scunthorpe on Saturday, 28 th February, for another National League fixture. The Moors were due to play Woking earlier this week in the National League, but following a pitch inspection, the game was postponed. The Moors sit in 11 th place with 42 points, the same as Aldershot Town and Tamworth, but only a point separates Solihull from Boston United, who have played two more games than The Moors. Solihull Moors have managed to score seven goals in their last five matches and haven’t lost to Scunthorpe United in their last five meetings with the side. The hosts this week, Scunthorpe, have lost four and drawn one of their last five games. Their most recent outing saw them host York City on Tuesday evening, which saw York come out victorious in a 3-0 victory. Scunthorpe currently sit in 5 th place in terms of the table with 60 points. A win on Saturday would further secure their chances of getting promoted at the end of the season. Last time these two teams met was November last year, which saw The Moors win 3-0 at Damson Park. Currently named as the club’s top goal scorer and 5 th in the league, Roberts has scored 15 goals so far this season and grabbed six assists showcasing that he can be a real threat to defenders. After not winning a game in their last five fixtures, Scunthorpe will be wanting to win this weekend in an attempt to make their position in the table more secure. Solihull Moors – Cameron Green As The Moors face 6th-place Scunthorpe United, Solihull may look to Cameron Green. Green’s abilities allow him to not only operate as a solid defender on the left, but also offer attacking threats further up the pitch. Although he’s only offered one assist so far this season, Green has been an engine at the back for The Moors as he is more than capable of covering a significant amount of ground throughout the full 90 minutes as he proves to be a constant threat in all areas.
